We went to Fishbone's today for lunch and we're expecting a good meal given some things we've heard and reviews we've read. We were so thoroughly disappointed with the food that ...

Awesome food, good times, crappy service 7/31/2005

I LOVE Fishbones... probably my favorite restaurant in Detroit. Great sushi! Horrible waitstaff. Pros: sushi, drinks, atmosphere Cons: service, price more

Great Place 7/22/2005

Now this is a good place to eat! I have been there several times and have always been pleased. The food is more than great! Our latest trip was for our daughters 19th birthday in Dec., but I can't wait to go back. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. Parking is easy more

Hmm...mm.. Good 6/19/2005

this restaurant is hip, kool and has a very good vibe. the staff is friendly, service is excellent and the good is GOOD. Big Portions at an afforadable price. Good place for parties or corporate events. Pros: Big Portions, Great Service, Good Ambience Cons: Street Parking more

Awesome Eats! 5/5/2004

Make sure to try the seafood stuffed mushrooms. Served in whitesauce, these are the tastiest appetizers I have EVER had! Also, the Blackened Catfish and Crabcakes are EXCELLENT! For a fun night out, combine dinner at Fishbones and a walk across the street to Greektown Casino! Pros: Excellent Food, Friendly Service, Funky Atmosphere more

Tasteless and pricey food 1/14/2004

While the seating was prompt and the ambience is quite nice too, the food is absolutely worthless. The menu is pricey and I was under the assumption that the entrees would be generously served as the prices were around the $18 to $20 range. This was my second visit to Fishbones and this time with my wife and both of were very disappointed. The servings were shockingly little and the food was not even comparable to a cajun restaurant experience in the mall. If you are in Detroit, aviod this place. It may have been good earlier (judging from the reviews of the other members) but it aint good anymore. I had to pay $44 for ordering just two entrees and nothing else. Was among my worst experiences ever. Pros: Ambience, Prompt seating Cons: Food Taste, Entree sizes, Ridiculous prices more

Great Service/ food 1/6/2003

My date and I went there last week. the seating was fast and the service was excelent. We had a waitor named Santiago, he was a awesome server on top of things all night long. even after we finished our meal he was still serving us up to twenty minutes later. i left him a almost $20 tip which doesnt happen to often with me. Over all great place to eat, excelent steak. Pros: great atmosphere, goodparking@casino, good service (rare) Cons: crowd, little crowded more

City's best cajun 12/11/2002

Fishbone's has the best cajun food in Detroit. Their shrimp are mouth watering. They are very large and just the right amount of spice to it. Also the french rolls that they give you with the gralic butter is to die for. I would recommend this restuarant to anyone who comes for a visit to my city. more

Food = dull 10/26/2002

I paid $17.95 for an incredibly boring meal. I was expecting cajun food with the appropriate flavoring; instead I was treated to extremely boring pasta dish (not bad, just boring) and a very uninspiring appetizer. As it is connected to a very nice hotel I expected so much more. Pros: Ambience Cons: Bad value, tasteless food more

jazzy 8/23/2002

The best in Greektown. Diners have a common goal; i.e., to enjoy the best in fish and seafood. more

Try the Peach Cobbler 8/7/2002

Excellent peach cobbler!!! My fiance and I travel Downtown from Westland just taste this lovely dish. The service is always friendly and helpful. If you are visiting Detroit, you must stop in... at least for desert. more

Hotel and restaurant 7/23/2002

Wonderful breakfast buffet or ala carte breakfast menu! In conjuction with the Athenaen Hotel, this was by far my favorite place in the US to travel and stay for business or pleasure. Great Food! Wonderful Service Great Ambiance Great Coffee! Pros: Food, Coffee, Ambience more
