Fish Hawk Animal Clinic

After four years at another local vet I decided to switch to Dr. Rivera when we moved to FishHawk. He is outstanding and so is the staff. He spent a lot of time with my dog and when I had more questions the next day about a problem my dog was having he got on the phone with me immediately and made sure I understood what was going on. \r I always felt like my old vet just wanted to make as much money as possible off of me and get me in and out as quickly as possible. This was not the case at all at FHAC. I am so pleased to have found them. more

We breed Jack Russell Terriers and after searching high and low for a good, caring vet when we moved to the Tampa area from Miami in 1998 we finally found Dr. Rivera in 1999. Our dogs (20 of them) were under his care and saw him at Fishhawk and Pawprints clinics until we moved to Alabama in Decemver 07. I don't miss anything about Florida except Dr Rivera and his staff. Some of the things he did for a couple of our dogs I will never foreget. He went way above what any other vet would have done. It is obvious he isn't in it for the money but his love of animals. The bad part is I could not convince him to move to Alabama lol. more

This clinic, which was recommended to me by a friend, is the best clinic I have ever been to. The doctor and his staff are the best. At this clinic they are not afraid to let you go in the back to see your pets getting treatment or surgery. They understand your concerns and are willing to work with you to provide the best possible care for your pets. They understand that not everyone is made of millions of dollars and although they are not free (which lets be honest no one is!) they try to find the most cost effective way to provide the best care and the lowest price (sometimes there is no cost effective mode of treatment, but if there is they try to find it). I would recommend this doctor and clinic to anyone who is looking for not just a veterinarian, but THE VETERINARIAN! Pros: Great People, Great Hours, Greatest Veterinarian Around Cons: N/A more

This clinic, (which is moving in August 2008 to Fish Hawk Blvd @ the Osprey Ridge light) is a great place to take your pet. The veterinarian, Dr. Raul A. Rivera is very intelligent, caring, compasionate, and truely loves his patients and clients as if they were his family. Dr. Rivera also has a very impressive staff that show, through every interaction, why they do what they do! Anyone looking for a veterinary clinic where his/her pets will get the best care should look no further, because at this clinic you and your pets will not only find a vet, but a home! \r Open Monday through Saturday with evening hours Monday through Thursday til as late as 11PM! Pros: Great Hours, Resonable Price, Wonderful and Compasionate Care (Finally Someone Who Cares About The Pet More Than The Money!)
