When we first lived in Michigan, we had no friends or family and I wanted to move out of here so badly! Then we started going to First Church and things slowly changed. I began to realize that I did have a family, a wonderful church family. These people go out of their way to welcome you and care for those in need. It has been nine years and now I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Since then, several family members have moved here and attend church here also. God is so good! You can come in contact with the God of Heaven and Earth every time you come and visit this church. And it isn't the building, it is the people there. They love God and worship him openly and show and express God through their interactions with themselves and others. My family and I moved three years ago and chose First Church as our home church. Three years have passed and I am still overwhelmed by the whole package. Not only do we have one of the greatest preachers of our time but the members are outstanding! We have built strong friendships with many of the members. From the preaching to the music down to the announcements, all positions are filled with powerful, anointed people. Pros: Freedom to worship. Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

This church is wonderful!! My kids love it and so do I. The people make you feel right at home and welcomed us instantly. The services are inspiring and the singing is fabulous. more

I have been going to First church all my life and I guess it took me untill a few days ago to open my eyes and finally realize that the church is a great place to be. Everything about it is so amazing from the moment you enter the front doors then till the moment you leave with overwhelming knowlege of so much. When people come to the church all they look at is the people of the church and the people that represent the church, but not all people that go to the church are good influences on new commers. The church shouldn't be blamed for that, they put alot of hard work to send messages out to everyone and try to save all. It's the people that come to the church that have the choice to be saved or not. So if you haven't been to this church before, please come... and when you do do not judge the church on the people judge the church on if you are making the right choice to be saved. When you go listen to Pastor Harold Hoffman as he always speaks the truth. Take it from a girl that has went through alot and can always count on the church to help me out. So again come, listen to the word, be blessed, and even make a friend or two. Pulling up the church was absolutely beautiful, elegant, had an air of elegance that is hard to find in modern churches, not to mention the bathrooms were spotless! I was greeted by a wonderful women, to introduced herself to me, and welcomed me with open arms. The music which was led by the youth of the church was really powerful, watching them be apart of the music instead of merely singing the words was so refreshing. Then came the preaching...Pastor Harold Hoffman, is simply remarkable, his way of tieing together many stories to make one infinate point will make you wanna jump to your feet, and just praise the Lord. The most wonderful thing about FIrst Church is the worship, the congregation takes an active role in praising the Lord, as where other churches so often take a back seat. I would highly recommend going here Services are Wed at 7:00 pm Sun 12:00 pm and Youth Service is Fri at 7:30 pm. Unfriendly, strict dress codes for women (!), teach women they can't wear pants or cut their hair or wear jewelry. Wouldn't go there again or recommend it to anyone. Pros: None. Cons: Women have to dress and look a certain way. more
