Filene's Basement is an outstanding discount department store, with amazing deals on designer purses, clothing, and, most importantly, shoes. It has a good selection of designer shoes, including Coach and Kenneth Cole, at a discount from department store prices. Head to the back for the clearance section, where you will find shoes at an additional 20, 40, 60, and even 80% off the Filene's Basement price. (One deal highlight for me: a pair of Ralph Lauren mules for $9). It can be hit and miss, but when you find that pair of shoes at the perfect price, it is worth it!
