Fielden & Rothermel Properties

Hey I just got to checking reviews on the place I live. I must say a couple of these just are not right. I do not appreciate them being slammed unfairly. This is where I live and I love it! I work downtown and just got out of school. I have had some great times here over the past several years. I must agree with brent2011, the manager and maintenance staff are professional and quick to solve any issues I may have, but I've had very few. If you work or go to school in the Fort Sanders area this is a great place to live! more

I work at the hospital, so this is a very convenient place for me to live. I can walk to work if necessary! I have been living here a little over a year and my experience has been very pleasant. The manager and maintenace personel are quick to respond if I have a maintenance problem and really seem to care about the residents. I am always recommending this place to co-workers because it is so close to the hospital and very well priced. more

I have lived at Altavia/Fielden & Rothermel Properties for many years now. My apartment is very close to my job, and the staff has always been very friendly to me. What I like the most about the apartments is I have never had to wait more than a couple of days to get something fixed. When I call the office, the lady is very nice to me, and sends someone very fast to take care of my problems. more

DON""T RENT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I have lived at your property of highland ave near 23st in knoxville for 9months. First i would like to say that honestly i dont think that management is that bad. but i do think that they tend to enforce whatever rules they feel at whatever times they choose. two months ago while talking to another renter there i asked if he had paid any fee for his pet. he told me no but that he didnt really know. i asked a couple of other renters there and they all said the same. what bothers me about the situation isn't that they are now telling me that she is evicted but that they are saying they went into ppl's places to check fire alarms and that this is when they found out that i had a pet. first there are no fire alarms in my room where my dog is cratedd when i'm not there. so why did they go into my room without notifing me? also its as if i am a child. i was sent a letter instead of being personal and talking to me about the situation first. its almost as if they dont want to continue a good relationship with their renters. i have never been late nor have i complained about the many things that are wrong with my place. they have not once come to look at the list of things that i made out when i moved in and it was a long list. nor did i think they would before i moved out. the laundry room is supposed to always be locked but it has been broke since i moved in. this was told to me by an employee and he also said that he wasnt going to do anything until he was told to. i am in school now studying business and it truly baffels me to see these kinds of business practices. if they are trying to get bad PR than they are succeeding. they have a sign up that says we will offer $200 if we suggest ppl there. honestly i will not do that at all. as soon as my time is done i will be moving and telling everyone and hopefully they will continue. since i am not the only one with this problem it wont just be coming from me. but it seems to me that they are already having trouble filling their rooms, but they would rather attack the ones that are there. it would have been nice if someone would have contacted me first. if they were wanting to start a new rule then they could try to grandfather me out, especially if their intent was to try and redo things but they still wouldn't have been able to til i moved. in which case they would have lost nothing and even asked for the pet deposit and used the money to try and fix some of the properties short comings. but no they would rather scold me as a child then threaten me with a law suit if i dont comply with in 3days. what would have happened had i not been in town? also i called and left a message to only never receive any call back. lets just say that from my point i will always tell ppl to stay away from Altavia apts and any other Fielden and Rothermel Properties. because if one is run this way then there is probably more. and i wouldn't wish anyone to deal with a bunch of wishy washy ppl who only care for themselves when it helps them. dont rent here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are people leaving their facilities because their skills of managing them are quite poor. They can't handle the fact people could soon know about this, and so to save their reputation, they quickly look for a scapegoat to blame their problems on. This is to save face for them and cover up the reality that they are trying to keep hidden from public disclosure. They are trying to keep their business from becoming shown in the light of day to people and having the mask taken off of them. They know this and how many people are catching onto the real deal, and by playing on certain tenants inferiority, they believe they will never be found out soon. They take full advantage of this fact, and manage to find temporary ways of ""mopping up"" messes by getting someone else who is a weaker individual to take the fall for them, because they figure out somehow that by oppressing that person's will or financial stability they can cover up their own failures quite nicely and still keep face about what others mistakenly remain impressed with. People are deceived about this new management's pride, and how they maintain the way people are fooled by their front. They count on possibly never risking public exposure or shame for their personal behaviors, and so they take out their silent frustrations on anyone who is vulnerable enough. All I can say, is they have to live with their selves now. Oh well. Pros: They have interesting neighbors, but spooky. Cons: They like to promote chaos. more
