Worst optometrist ever 1/1/2022

my wife wanted contacts and since I had a good experience with Dr. Alvarado, she went there. My wife was served by Dr. Cynthia Cupal, and recieved the worst service. When contacts were provided on second visit, they weren't correct. turns out that the Doc (??) ordered contacts for astigmatism, which my wife doesn't suffer from. This Cynthia lady was rude and impatient. The service was so bad that my wife didn't go to back for the fourth visit for contact fittings. Also, the receipts given us had no explanation of services, which means that I couldn't get reimbursed by my health provider. Avoid this place unless you can book your appointment with Dr. Alvarado. more

Can't get the orders correct 10/18/2013

Glasses came in as sunglasses instead of regular lenses. Second attempt the frames were incorrect and the left lense was obviously the incorrect prescription but I was told just to get use to them. Third visit for the correct frames and still the lens prescription was not changed to the correct requirements. I will not be a customer again. more

HORRIBLE 3/25/2013

I was 5 mins late for my appointment because I got the wrong address online. I even called for the right address and let them know I had an appointment. When I got there the receptionist bumped my appointment back and I waited an HOUR! The girl who was doing the exams was really young and acted like it. She had an attitude with me. The receptionist didn't note what type of visit I was going in for when they told me and my insurance company told me the exam was fully covered. They were going to charge me through the roof for an exam. After waiting an hour I had to walk out because of outrageous prices and RUDE SERVICE! more

Very nice and generous - Dr. Alvarado is great 12/30/2005

InfantSEE is a non-profit organization that provides a free eye exam for infants before they turn one. Dr. Alvarado participates in this program. Since our son has one pupil larger than the other, we decided to take him in to get checked out. Our son cannot sit still for longer than 30 seconds, but Dr. Alvarado was very patient. He told us that we did not have anything to worry about. If it were not for InfantSEE and Dr. Alvarado, we probably would not have taken him in. more

I don't think so! 8/23/2005

I was totally unsatisfied when calling this shop the prices I was quoted were through the roof. In addition I was informed that they do not go off of the current contacts you prefer but tell you what you will wear. Excuse me but with those prices I should be able to choose myself plus I know what is comfortable for me. The eyeglasses are over priced and the exams are 40% higher than those of other eyecare centers. I say shop around. more
