My wife and I eat out often and even after 5 visits, Fenix continues to please. Definitely French influenced, we've had really good luck with the beet salad, Mussels appetizer (spectacular, but it ain't no diet food), braised short ribs and daily seafood specials. We've also had the lemon tart dessert which could be the best dessert I've ever tasted in Phoenix. The atmosphere is not too fussy almost making it a neighborhood place, yet nice enough to accommodate a special meal. Service is also French-influenced making dining making for an attentive, yet pleasant staff. I might shave a couple points off of a perfect score beause I haven't been wowed by any of the wines; Reasonable selection, tasty and well-kept, but we haven't found a star yet. \r

After great food, great service and a great dessert, the bill doesn't break the bank either. I don't know if I've topped $130 for two on any of our visits.\r

One other attribute, we haven't tried the bar, but it looks rather comfortable if dining as a single, though it's not the most buzzing bar in town -- just good food.
Pros: Delicious food, great salads, French flavors, chef-owned
