Moving from New York City to take new job nearby in Rockville, my fiancee and I were excited about moving into this great new apartment complex and town center. The food around here is great and the atmosphere is chilled with a hint of that urban familiarity we have grown accustomed to in NYC.
We are currently renting a 2 bedroom apartment - 1 for my office / studio. The rooms are decent sized the layout and appliances is OK, but this is as good as it gets...
Our first night sleeping in In our Master Bedroom we were startled to be woken up coughing from our next door neighbors!!! You can hear absolutely everything - full blown conversations everything. Absolutely NOT what we thought we were getting. Even in NYC we had better sound insulation in our apartment and these are supposed to be brand new 'luxury' units..
That's not even the worst of it. The parking... A couple of days ago I was amazed to wake up an come out into our private parking area to find my brand new $60,000 car was gone! It was towed away by T.R.P Towing Inc (Kensington, MD) because they hadn't seen my resident parking tag that fell off of my dashboard.
Now considering my car had been parked there for weeks with the tag displaying you would ASSUME that they would know that my car rightfully belonged there, but OH NO! If you happen to forget to display, they will tow your car to make a quick buck!. (The building management company is probably getting a cut too).
The building management company (Buzzoto Management) didn't have much to say about it or even offered to reimburse the $100 (reduced from $134) plus taxi that it had incurred me to collect the car. Good thing I didn't have to work that day either..
So much for protecting their residents! They're supposed to help us, not help fleece us!
Based upon our experience in the short time we've been here, we're giving the Fenestra a solid four thumbs down.
