The Choice is Unanimous 3/19/2010

Whenever I fly into an airport, I ask the locals, ""if you were only going to be in town for one day in your entire life, where would you eat?"" In the case of Mobile Alabama, the voting was unanimous. The barbershop in the historic city center, the rental-car manger, the hotel manager and everyone else that I asked agreed--Felix's Fish Camp. (This has never happened to me anywhere else.) Try the Crab Soup and Crawfish Smothered Pork Chops. Zig-zagging Ramps lead up to the entrance of this bay-side restaurant. While passing the people on their way out, I asked, ""What's best"". The answer from most was the Crab Soup and Crawfish Smothered Pork Chops. So, I ordered them. They are both excellent. The service here is also great. They do a synchronized delivery of your orders. One server per table guest presents all of the table guest orders at the same time. It's really quite nice. The view overlooking the bay adds to the whole experience. I will always try to dine at Felix's Fish Camp whenever I am in Mobile. Pros: Excellent food, service and view. Six out of five stars. more

Felix's Fish Camp Restaurant right on the bay 8/10/2009

This restaurant is right on the bay. It features exquisite seafood that is fresh from the area. With the decor being rustic and unique. I highly suggest the key lime pie. more

no, thanks 8/3/2008

been twice: tab was too high for average food, dingy atmosphere, and a noise level that exceeds a comfortable dining experience. don't recommend to visitors, won't go if invited. Pros: ??? Cons: price, food, decibel level more

Five star Food and Service!! 5/12/2008

Felix's has been my favorite restaurant in the Mobile area for years! The food is gourmet quality and the service is always excellent! I love the ""shabby chic"" ambiance and the setting on the bay. It can be a little noisy at times, but I think that is simply due to the fact that they are a thriving restaurant with a large following. The crab soup is absolutely heavenly! I always recommend Felix's to anyone traveling to the Mobile area, and can't wait until I am there again myself! Pros: Food quality, Ambiance, Service Cons: May need a Reservation more

Avoid at any time 4/26/2008

This is the worst restaurant in Mobile. It is a shame this restaurant is owned by the same people who own Ruth Chris. Felix is a filthy smelly place to eat. It is loud and unpleasant. The service is poor the try to put words in your mouth like istn it fantastic isnt it great! The food is horrible. It is either salty or mushy. The Vegetables are out of a can and the sauces are out of a glass. And for that they charge you a hefty price. It is unbelievable that this place is voted best food in Mobile. But i guess when you are a ""Cooper"" you can buy the vote! Pros: no pros Cons: bad food expensive more

I seriously doubt that the girl replied as the writer below... 9/22/2006

said. This is restaurant owned by Cooper Restaurants that owns the Ruth's Chris in Mobile. Best service in town..Always say 'my pleasure' and would never want an unhappy customer. I'm sorry they had bad crab cakes, but normally Felix's is right on the money. They have the best fish, whether amandine or meuniere. Great sides, salads awesome. Green beans are the best. I hope you don't miss this if you're in Mobile area. Cons: sometimes can be loud more

worst crab cakes and fish 8/8/2006

This was the worst seafood I've ever had. The crab cakes were mushy and the entree was not fresh. The salad, however, was tasty. I do not recommend this restaurant. When we complained to the server, she just stood there and said, ""Oh, huh, okay."" Never again! Cons: the food more
