Farmer's in Highland IL is a great little family style restaurant. They are famous in the area of their pressure cooked fried chicken and the Italian dishes. The chicken is not fried like most chicken, instead it is cooked in a pressure cooker with different seasonings and it comes out looking and tasting just like fried chicken. The baked rigatoni is the best! But the best thing of all are the desserts. They are homemade and delicious!!! The carrot cake and the chocolate cakes are huge! They are so big it is best shared by two people. The pies are amazing and they also make sugar free pies. The last great thing about this place is that they have sweet tea! A great thing for you Southerns.
