Family Movers

Family Movers asked me where I wanted everything, which I thought was cool! They asked me if I wanted the bed set up, I said sure, and they put it all together and set it where I wanted it. Putting all my furniture where I wanted was very respectful! more

I was using Family Movers to move me 6.3 miles from one house to another. I particularly like Lori; she was excellent. She gives the company a very good face and is an excellent communicator. I ended up having to pay $416 more than the original quote because there was more stuff to pack. The day before they sent someone to pack my stuff, but they only sent one person. Even though my sister and I helped her, it still took longer. So the next day when the movers came they had to help with some packing too. The men and the lady packer were wonderful. Them I would rate a five. They were very polite, very helpful, and very kind. I can't say enough about those guys. I would probably rate my whole experience a 4.5. They know how to pick the people who work for them. When you're moving your stuff, it's your stuff, and you don't want smokey smelling people touching your stuff or scary people either. There was none of that. They were just very kind men and I felt very comfortable having them come in my house and having them move my stuff. more

This was my first time using Family Movers, but I would definitely do so again and recommend them to family and friends. They were very professional, quick, and reliable during my moving process. more

I used Family Movers when I was moving from one house to another about two miles away. I had two truckloads of furniture and things. The movers were really good! They were on time, moved everything quickly, and were always courteous. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them at all. They only part of the experience that was a bit of a problem was that I had an elliptical machine in my basement, and had told Lori upfront when we were setting up the move that they would have to take the arms off of it to get it up the stairs. When the movers came, I showed them the elliptical and again said they would have to remove the arms, giving them the assembly manual to do it. Halfway through the move, however, I noticed they were just trying to move it up the stairs without taking it apart first, obviously having a lot of difficulty. They did eventually get it up to the top of the stairs, but then there was no way they could get it through the door. So, they had to take it all the way back down to the bottom of the stairs and add extra time after talking to me about the difficulty. I spoke to Lori afterward about the fact that I had left pretty clear instructions. I told her I didn't feel I should be charged for that extra time because of the clarity. Two or three days later, after a full investigation involving talking with the crew members, Lori called me back saying she found that they should have indeed taken the arms off. Family Movers will not charge me for that extra time, which I felt was a fair result. Other than that, it really did go well! more

Family Movers were great and very efficient overall. Moving in two weeks turned into moving in two days, and they were still very accommodating. I noticed how well they did the packing, even bringing out extra boxes for us. It was all done quickly, too! more

They know what they are doing for sure!! These guys were so fast to load and unload our stuff to/from truck. I had hard time to figure which moving company we are going to use since we were really tight on our budget. but sweet Lori who was the case manager for us helped me step by step to make this move so easy!! Nothing was broken. Even got lowest rate compare to other local companies. Highly recommend the family movers!!! It was very pleasant to work with the crew!! :) Thanks a lot!! Very pleased with this company from start to finish. Movers were on time, polite,never wasted time.They handled all furnature carefully, covered all pieces with padded mats. When all was done not a scratch on anything. They actually moved a few small pieces that were not required and got it all done in the time alloted. The weather was not good, rain and more rain and always put shoe covers on and off when necessary. more

My family and I have moved 17 times in 20 years with the military. I have had the pleasure of dealing with some good companies and the displeasure of dealing with surly, lazy inconsiderate ones. This company clearly operates as the model for customer service, efficiency, and quality. I can only assume that all of their employees are held to a very high standard. Even so, the crew seemed to actually enjoy doing their best. From the clear, complete and timely scheduling and set up to the thorough care given to the handling and packing of our household goods, Family Movers set the bar. Highly recommended! Thanks to Lori who scheduled and managed our move and the excellent crew that handled our packout. They even made a side trip to my home to pick up some items that I was not able to fit in our storage facility. more

The service was excellent, from my first call to the end of my move. The two guys moving my things were very polite, and very helpful. They handled everything with care and I was so impressed by both of them. I will certainly recommend the company and I will use them again, when I move again. more

Tyler and his crew were great! They were right on time, took almost exactly the time that was quoted it would be and they were very professional. Everything was moved with no issues what-so-ever. The wardrobe boxes and being able to leave everything in the drawers is great. It saves so much time! I would recommend them to anyone that needs moving services. more

I was thoroughly impressed. I always enjoy watching anyone do what they know how to do professionally. And these guys were on their A game! I am someone who recognizes excellence when I see it and that word definitely applies here. They were careful and professional inside my home being careful to protect the floors. Everything was wrapped up "Snug as a bug in a rug" to protect it from damage while in transit. I was astonished to see how they load the truck. It's like a giant jig saw puzzle utilizing every little nook & cranny. I was totally impressed with the cheerful attitudes & professionalism of "The Family Movers." I would gladly recommend them to anyone! more

We hired Family Movers to move my dad from his home of many years. They came and helped him pack everything up. Within two hours, they had everything ready to go. At the new location, they came in and set everything up for him. They put things where he asked and even removed pieces when he didn't like the original spot. The team at Family Movers was friendly and nice. They put down carpet so that they wouldn't get anything dirty. After the job was complete, they called to follow up and make sure everything went well. They even sent him a gift bag with some chocolate to thank him for the service. They aren't a huge company and I've heard so many horror stories that we were scared to hire anyone to do this. But I was very pleased with their work. I have already recommended them to friends. more

They were absolutely wonderful. Family Movers is a great service with warm, friendly staff. They will talk with you, but still work very quickly and very hard. They are good at what they do and they bend over backwards to make sure you are pleased. They are wonderful people. I have had a lot of movers in my 74 years and they are hands down the best. more

World Class! ...The crew was polite, friendly, clean, fast, effiecient, and hard-working. Customer support kept me informed from start to finish. Crews arrived on schedule, introduced themselves, quickly laid down floor protection, then went to work. They pad protected all furniture before moving it, and kept it padded until final desired placement at my new location. I was very impressed and satisfied. Though resonably priced, I am so glad that I did not go with the "cheapest" price. I have done that before and ended up paying much more in money, time, agravation, frustration, damage, etc... Thank you FAMILY MOVERS!! I would recommend you to anyone. more
