Pleased for 16 years! 6/26/2013

I have been taking my pets (two Golden Retrievers) to this vet fro 16 years. They have always been courteous, efficient, and have given excellent advice and counsel (even when we were faced with a pet with cancer). They always offer alternatives and suggestions and do not "force" you into anything, Recently, my Golden of 10 years was having leg pain so bad that she could barely walk, She had pulled ligaments in both of her back legs. Surgery was an option (an expensive one!), but other options such as pain management and laser therapy were discussed. We opted with the pain management and laser therapy. With the k-laser, my girl is now back to her normal self and totally off the pain meds. I would have never known this was even an option if not for the doctor at Falls Village! more

disappointed 5/2/2012

I talked with the staff of this business and my experience was substandard. In short, i felt they were rude to be blunt, It doesnt matter how well they may be at the services they offer, but if customer service is not at least pleasant, i wont ever use them. more

Wonderful, Caring, Compassionate 9/10/2011

We had the opportunity to work with Dr. Brink during our cat's recent illness. She was absolutely wonderful with my sick kitty, my husband and I. She presented different treatment options, listened to our questions and concerns, compared prices, and was incredibly compassionate and supportive with our decisions. We are so grateful to her, her wonderful colleagues, and staff! more

A Fantastic Doctor and a Wonderful Person 9/10/2011

Dr. Chessie Green has seen us through both good times and bad. She provides excellent medical care to our 3 cats, and is incredibly compassionate and supportive. We are so lucky to have her and her wonderful colleagues and staff to care for our little ones! more

Wonderful, Compassionate Care for our Kitties 9/10/2011

We have used Falls Village Veterinary Hospital ever since we got our first cats in 2004. Dr. Chessie Green, Dr. Miranda Jones-Bailey, Dr. Susie Brink, their colleagues and staff are wonderful. They have helped us with routine wellness visits, treatment of acute illness, and chronic disease management. I have been very impressed with both their sophisticated medical care, and their compassionate treatment of patients (both 2 legged and 4). We recently lost one of our sweet little kitties to renal disease, and I was blown away by their kindness. We were presented with different options for diagnostic testing and treatment, and allowed to make the best decisions for our family without any pressure. Through the whole process we felt completely supported. I cannot imagine going through it without these compassionate people that we trust. We are so lucky to have them to care for our furry little ones! more

HIGH PRICES - BOARDING ISSUES AND FLEAS! 7/19/2011

We took our Golden Retriever to this Vet for 5 years (since he was 2). We were originally recommended to take our dog here because of a Dr. Ellis who has retired. We enjoyed Dr. Ellis and his care. We have to drive 25 miles round trip to visit this vet. They have always been accommodating in allowing us to bring our dog in for any type of minor emergency. Over the last year the experience has been a concern.\r \r SCHEDULING ISSUES -- We received the postcard with the list of shots due, etc. Our dog was due for a Bordatella shot in June, so we brought him in and asked if he had anything coming up. We get home and the next week we get another card saying he is due for his annual check-up and additional vaccines. We could have done a better job managing this ourselves but I would have expected some help from FV.\r \r BOARDING -- Our dog has come home (after 7 or 10 days) with a significant amount of flea bites. He has NEVER had fleas. We did not see any fleas on his body when he cam more

Dr. Green is Great!! 6/27/2011

We just had to put our little 15 year old dog down. Doctor Green and her assistant, Julie, were amazing and so sincere to us. They made the whole situation bearable and peaceful. I really appreciate their thoughtfulness that day and even a few days later when we received a sympathy card in the mail from them.\r I highly recommend them for all the needs of our pets. more

Top notch 6/5/2010

These folks have been our main vets for over a decade and we use them for all our health-related services. They are very knowledgeable and patient with all the animals (including the homo sapiens) and willing to work with you to figure out what is best for all concerned. Very supportive when our dog was felled with an aggressive and inoperable cancer and helped us reach the decision to euthanize when she became too uncomfortable.\r \r As one would expect with the best, they are a tad pricey and we do go elsewhere for routine baths and such. more

A Fabulous Vet! 5/14/2010

We have taken our dogs to Falls Village for more than 15 years. They have seen us through the loss of three senior dogs, and have always been wonderful. I do miss the "old days" when it was Dr Ellis and Dr Lewis, but the newer vets are great as well.\r \r They have been so reasonable about the cost of caring for an older dog, and I would recommend them to anyone. more

Best vet ever in Raleigh NC 5/14/2010

Dr. Brink is amazing. I adopted a 'senior' dog from a local rescue. Dr. Brink was always there for us and very fair with costs (believe me, my Sara had some very interesting health concerns/expenses). I couldn't have ever anticipated the genuine care not only for my dog but to me as well. So, want the most amazing vet ever? See Dr. B! She's the best! more

Best Vets EVER 1/17/2009

I have been going since Dr. Ellis opened this practice in 1974 and I would never take my kids any place else. Dr. Brink is an amazing vet, and so beautifully compassionate in everything she does. Yeah, they want payment at the end of the appointment, but what vet wouldn't?\r \r HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! more

Wonderful Vet! 7/17/2008

Falls Village has been so great to my dog! The front desk staff is always so friendly and caring, and all of the Vets are wonderful! Our dog is a Shar-Pei and is prone to many health problems, but since we have been taking him here, he has been so much healthier! They are willing to try different things to figure out what will work best for your dog. I can't say enough good things about them, and let me tell you, I went to a vet that really was only out for the money before coming here. Falls Village is one of those rare vets that cares about you and your pet more than running up a huge bill for no good reason. I would recommend them to anyone! more

love this clinic! 3/24/2008

We've been using this vet clinic for our pets for over 15 years. The doctors are amazing, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I've never been overcharged or treated poorly. Dr Lewis in particular is a favorite of ours, she was very compassionate when we had to put our 15 year old dog down. Dr Green gave me excellent advice when we adopted a rescue dog, and I simply can't find a single negative thing to say about this office. They always are able to get us in even on short notice, and their fees are completely reasonable and in line with what other vets in the area charge, so I'm not sure what the other posters had experienced, but I would not go anywhere else. more

Nice Vets...bad service. 5/17/2007

While the vet I saw was very nice, the service they provided was incredibly overpriced. As one reviewer stated previously, they seemed more concerned with payment then service which is unfortunate because the doctor was so very nice. The vet left the room MANY times, for many minutes at a time and things seemed not to be run very smoothly behind the scenes. Anyway, if you want to be overcharged, go here. more

Wonderful Veterinary Hospital 4/25/2006

I am so glad that I found this vet! Dr. Brink has been wonderful to my dog. He has a lot of health problems, and the last vet he went to did not seem to help. They just wanted to charge a lot of money, and not suggest anything. Everyone is so helpful and nice at Falls Village. Our dog has shown great improvement since he has been a patient there. They all seem to truly care about animals! more

More interested in my money than my cat 11/17/2005

They seem to charge more for routine visits than other vets I've been to in the area, and don't seem to have time to explain problems or answer questions. I'm looking for another doctor for my cat. more

  • For nearly 50 years, our North Raleigh vet and animal hospital staff have restored and maintained the health of dogs and cats. We're passionate about chronic illness and pain management to extend quality of life as well as preventive care.

Our in-house diagnostics set us apart. We're proud of our ability to run many labs same day for fast results allowing us to diagnose and treat conditions faster, and to be able to confirm good health before surgeries on the same day. This reduces trips to the vet for separate lab and surgery dates.

Our vets are wonderful general surgeons for spay, neuter, some orthopedic injuries, soft tissue surgeries, gastropexy, and they are expert pet dentists, too!

For cat and dog pain management with no side effects, we love laser therapy (not to be confused with red light therapy for dogs and cats which is similar but weaker).

Clinical trials are available for many common health conditions, often at no additional cost.

Our goal: be the BEST Raleigh vet.
