From the gravel parking lot, the pole shed building which acts as a proshop and workshop to the portable toilets you walk by to the first tee, you notice the nearly grassless range and get a pretty good idea of what is in store on this course.
The course has almost no bunkers, most greens are very small, lack contour and are hard with very rough surfaces. It's not a long course, but the poor conditions and some goofy holes on the back nine will account for a less than stellar round. After the few few holes everyone in my group decided this course was 'winter rules' only because the undulating boggy fairways, dead areas and lack of quality grass to hit from.
The front is somewhat open and the back is cut through woods and lowlands. It seems this is still a project with so many trees in the fairways or hanging over into the fairways. Not sure I'd recommend a course where you are on the fairway and have a tree between you and the green on 6 holes.
The executive course was ok, but keep moving or the ants will get ya!
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this course. There are much better places to play that offer better conditions and amenities.
