Owner Message
  • At the center of the community of Oak Brook stands a white frame church with a steeple. Arched stained glass windows are etched in loving memory of church members through the generations. It is situated at the bend in Salt Creek just before the waterfall that drives a century-old corn mill. The church was built in the 1880's by local farmers and was a German speaking Free Church.

Today the church is occupied by the congregation of Faith Fellowship Church. This congregation seeks to show the way to Christ for those in need, provide for spiritual growth of its members, and to provide for special needs of friends, neighbors and visitors. The natural beauty and country atmosphere of the historic building and grounds attracts believers who are without a church to fill needs that only Christ's people can address. Our members come from all walks of life and are blessed with a wide variety of skills and gifts that they use to minister to the congregation and those in need.

Faith Fellowship Church was founded in 1967 as a non-denominational, scripture based evangelical church, and was initially known as the Church on the County Line with the name being changed in 1999. The early church members met in homes and local community buildings, in 1979 the church purchased this building. Using their skills and labor the congregation renovated the building. Modern conveniences were added but generally the original decor was maintained. In 1989 the Church suffered a fire and 2 years later a broken sprinkler pipe caused a flood, in both cases the building was restored.

God has been wondrously faithful to us over the years in providing people from Wheaton College and Moody Bible Institute to preach, teach, lead, and counsel. Dr. Timothy R. Sisk, professor of missions and evangelism at Moody, is our pastor. A combined board of deacons and elders oversees the spiritual and physical needs of the church, the buildings and cemetery. Church activities include youth group, bible study groups, fellowship activities, weddings and regular church services and Sunday school classes.
