We switched from a well-known (but a clinic that you had to wait for hours and somewhat impersonal) local clinic to the Fairleigh Pet Center about 18 months ago and couldn't be happier. For one, I find the prices fairly reasonable, and the doctor, techs and assistants are all very engaged with the people and animals they treat. They sincerely care. And they choose least invasive / more natural options first, as opposed to throwing surgery or whatever on the table from the get-go. Some examples: We brought one of our pugs in due to pretty bad limping, and diagnosed as hip dysplasia finally catching up with her. But the doctor didn't even mention any kind of surgery - I mentioned it as an option and was strongly cautioned against it, and instead put her on a program of anti-inflamatories and monthly glucosamine shots. (After 3 weeks of this, our pug almost completely stopped limping.) We also had her in for annual teeth cleanings. At the old vet, she'd had 13 teeth pulled in two years (in two visits). (!!!) Since switching to Fairleigh Pet Center, she's had her teeth cleaned twice, but had NO extractions...leading us to ask ""were all those extractions at the other vet really necessary?!"" What's more, our pugs actually appear to *like* going to the vet ...well I can't be certain, but at a minimum they aren't afraid, nervous, skittish or submissive when we go. They seem happy to see the doctors and techs. Give Fairleigh's a try. You won't be disappointed
