I hadn't been into a bike shop for years until my daughter came home announcing she'd won a bike in a reading competition at school. We were thrilled to find out it was a "real" bike, and Fairwheel had actually donated 3 of them. Even more amazing, the kids had a choice of style and color. This wasn't a shop donating unsellable leftovers, we had to wait for the special orders to come in. Fairwheel also threw in a few extras, and gave a generous discount on additional accessories purchased.
Now this is all a personal story, but while hanging out at the shop, here are other things I noticed that induce me to give them such a high recommendation:
1) They are on first-name basis with many of their customers.
2) They sponsor and participate in a number of community events.
3) They provide LIFETIME FREE maintenance on bicycles sold!!!
PROS: Super nice people!
CONS: You must park at the end of the block and walk over - cannot park in front.
