I grew up one of 5 kids, did'nt always get to go tho the dentist.I was very embarrassed. M teeth were not in the best shape. I went to a famous implant place that you hear about all the time on tv. I don't want to name them.. I got an estimate for implants that I just couldn't afford. i was very disappointed. I found this office by accident. I got an estimate from them much lower that my first estimate. i was nervous because it is just a small office. But the dentist there assured me that my implant crowns would look like veneers. They gave me my implants with a temporary at first.I was in temporary teeth for 4 months. I t looked pretty decent. I didn't have to go without teeth even for a day. i got my crowns a week ago My smile looks beautiful. I couldn't stop crying. more

I am not one to enjoy visits to the dentist because of the fear I tend to have for any dental attention that may involve syringes and drilling. But, I had suffered quite a lot of discomfort and pain with one of my upper premolars and it got to a point where seeing a Dentist was the only relief I could get due to the sleepless nights I had been having. Not only was it a great experience, but I think Dr Jain is awesome. With all the modern amenities and excellent staff. I can only thank the staff for their patience and commitment to getting me back to normal. They are also very good on assisting you with insurance matters. more

My front 2 teeth broke over the weekend. I was in soo much pain and Dr. Jain and her staff helped my get out of pain saw me almost immediately where Dr. Jain gave me my options. My insurance had minimum coverage (which i knew) so i had to really decide what it was that i wanted. I chose to go with the upgraded ""Lava"" crowns being that it's my two front teeth, and i am walking out of her office now with my two new crowns and they look just like my very own natural teeth! \r They gave me temporary teeth in the time that they made my crowns and they looked really good, most importantly they were able to offer no interest monthly payments. more

I brought my son in for a braces consult with Dr. Jain about a year and a half ago. He had a huge over bite, he could not even put his lips together, and he also had severe crowding Being a teenager he was very self conscious. After several consultations, Dr. Jain began his treatment and 1 1/2 yrs later here we are with braces removed and a happy teenager! more

I just recently visited Dr.Jain for a third opinion to get my teeth pulled and get implant dentures. Her office went over everything in detail including my bone density being a factor on me being able to get a snap in denture. So far I've gotten the extractions and the bonegrafting which is bone material added to my existing bone. The surgery wasn't that bad, I'm at home icing my jaw at the moment. I'll keep u guys updated on my progress. Dr Jain says it should be 3 months for everything to be finished. more

I lost my upper teeth several yrs ago. My denture was getting very loose. They suggested 4 implants to add under my denture for a tighter fit. The whole process took 6 months. The implants were put in end of January. Dr Jain just loaded the implants last Friday--that's how she described it. There r little caps inside my denture that snap on to the implants. Today I went to lunch to TGIF with my friends. I actually chewed the broccoli in my salad. I haven't done that in yrs. I m crying rt now. These r tears of joy. more

Dr. Jain ad her staff made me feel comfortable and eased my dental anxiety. I had neglected my teeth due to a bad experience with a previous dentist and I went in a little hesitant. Dr. Jain focused on what I wanted to do , without making me feel pressured into getting dental work I couldn't afford. Not only that, but I didn't even feel a thing! I already referred my co-workers to her! more

Depressing Experience 3/6/2012

I thought I was the only one who has had a horrible experience with Rasika Jain in which i refuse to refer to her as a Doctor. After thousands of dollars spent on braces I ended up with crooked teeth. Do not want to re-live this horrible experience so I'm cutting it short. RUN!! eyond Horrible Experience and a Liar 2/22/2012

I was taking my kids to Rasika Jaine for cleanings and after every cleaning, she said there teeth were healthy w.no cavities and there were no x-rays needed. About a year later, I took them to a childrens dentist since my daughter was complaining of tooth pain, an the dentist discovered she had a cavity that had started at least a year earlier and was now so deep that it would have to be extracted. I called Rasika about it and she basically said since we don't live in a poor area where kids are more likely to get caviities, there is no need for x-rays. Due to her recommendation, I also got my crowns redone w. Rasika. I just went to another dentist since I no longer trust her, and the new dentist said some of my redone crowns are too big for my teeth. I've called her three times, and have not yet gotten a call back from her. Now Rasika has the nerve to make up a completely false story that she did take x-rays of my daughters teeth and that I refused to have her take more. It disgusts me that after all this, not only does she refuse to take any responsibility for her costly(to us) mistakes, but now she is straight out lying about what happened. She needs to get her license taken away because as far as I'm concerned, she is completely unethical. I hope Karma teaches her an important lesson. more

Ruined my bite 1/21/2012

I went to Dr Jain to fix my crooked teeth and she put me in braces for a year and a half. She took the braces off and said that that was as good as she can do and she sent me to a real Orthodontist. Now after a year and a half I still have crooked teeth and addedTMJ. I am looking at surgery and three years of braces to fix my bite. RUN !!!!! more

Unecessary extraction 4/22/2011

They did an extraction that they said was necessary because the new tooth was coming in. The new tooth didn't materialize for 9 months Told my wife she needed bridge work. Went for a second opinion and that Dentist said there was nothing in her mouth that remotely resembled anything that needed bridge work. Would NOT recommend these people. more

In Response to Down Syndrome Patient 11/13/2010

From Dr. Rasika Jain: When this patient (over 16 years-old) first came to our office for her exam I told her mother that her daughter had severely inflamed gums, heavy plaque and tartar and a severe underbite where the teeth were biting on the gums. We did a deep cleaning with topical anesthetic only without an injection because the patient was scratching and biting the hygienist when she tried to administer anesthesia. We did the best cleaning we could with topical anesthetic only. When you came in for the emergency I told you that your daughter was in pain because her teeth were biting the gum tissue. I referred the patient to a pedodontist because the family had not allowed the patient to be numbed in the past. The pedodontist could use sedation if necessary. We went back and forth with the family's insurance several times to get the referral approved since the patient did not meet the insurance company's age criteria for a referral. You took your daughter to the pedontist who said they were unable to treat your daughter as well, gave you a prescription for antibiotics as a temporary measure and gave you a referral to a gum specialist. We didn't hear from you for 2 months after that and assumed all had been taken care of. You called 2 months later for the same problem. When I asked you what treatment the gum specialist did, you said you never took your daughter there since the antibiotics made her feel better. I told you staying on antibiotics for inflammation wasn't the answer. Antibiotics are meant for infection only. The tooth needed to be taken out and we were not able to anesthetize a 16-year old plus patient who continually lashed out at our team. I offered to give you a referral to a pediatric dental surgeon but you refused. You specifically said you would call your insurance company directly and hung up the phone. I have treated several patients with challenges. As somebody who has close family members with challenges myself, I would never discriminate against anyone. Me giving you a referral wasn't meant as an insult, I just wanted to help you get through the right channels for treatment. I am sorry you had a hard time with your insurance to get a referral the 2nd time. more

Refused to treat my daughter with Down Syndrone 10/25/2010

My daughter has been seeing a dentist since age 3 she is now 24 and she has Down syndrome; she has had hundreds of teeth cleanings, baby teeth extracted with and without Novocain. When I got her new dental insurance the wonderful dentist that she had been seeing for 20 years was not on the list of dentists that I could take her to so I choose Dr. Rasika Jain's. I took her to see Dr. Jain in May because she was having a problem with a very small area on her bottom gum. They did ex-rays and Dr. Jain’s examined her mouth. I asked Dr. Jain at that time why was her gum swollen and she told me that she had adult gum disease and recommended a deep cleaning for my daughter's entire mouth. They did the first deep cleaning in June without Novocain and had absolutely no problems from my daughter. They did the second deep cleaning in July again without Novocain and once again had absolutely no problems with her. Took her back to see Dr. Jain in September, because she still had the same problem with her gun and as a matter of fact it was worst. When Dr. Jain came in to look at the area my daughter didn't cry, yell, try to get out of the chair nothing except Dr. Jain had to ask her twice to open her mouth. When Dr. Jain looked at the area she said, and I quote,” there is nothing I can do for her,"" and recommended a Pediatric Periodontis Specialist. He put her on antibiotics and the problem cleared within two weeks. Call Dr Jain's office the first week in October, and told them that Sarah needed to have one of her baby teeth, on the top right (she still has some of her baby teeth), extracted because it was cracked and loose and was causing her gum to swell and she was in a lot of pain. They told me to come in the following day at 5:00pm. On the day of her appointment they called me late morning and asked me why I was bringing her in. I explained again why I was bringing her in and they told me to and I quote, ""find myself a new dentist because Dr Jain said that she was UNCOOPERATIVE, and needed to see a specialist because she needed to be sedated. "" She was never uncooperative unless you consider having to ask a mentally retarded person twice two open her mouth. In 20 years of her seeing her other dentist with all that she has been through not once has she ever been UNCOOPERATIVE and needed to be sedated to have a tooth extracted. In the 24 years of being her mother talking her to her other dentist of 20 years this is the first time I have ever felt that she was discrimination against. I feel that she was discriminated against because she was not uncooperative at all, if she was so uncooperative then why did they schedule her to come back in November for a regular cleaning? So now my daughter had to suffer one additional day with this pain while I found another dentist that would see her because of Dr Jain's refusal to see her for a simple baby tooth extraction. Also what made the process a lot more difficult in taking her to another dentist is her insurance has to approve taking her to see a specialist. When I called her insurance they told me that her primary dentist Dr. Jaine had to call in for the authorization number. I explained that Dr. Jain told me to find another dentist and that they refused to see her. So after 2 hours of going back and forth with her insurance I finally got the authorization to take her to see the specialist. If you have a child with special needs this is NOT the DENTIST to take them to. more

Dr. Jain rocks! 10/4/2010

After a decade of neglect, I finally made the effort to give my teeth the care they desperately needed. Dr. Jain showed me on camera what had happened to my teeth and designed a plan to fix them. She provided me with a payment plan that was affordable. She also has a professional and friendly staff that helped me feel at ease and explained everything I needed to know. more
