Eyewear Express

I guess you're treated in the way you treat others... I can't believe some of the reviews posted here. I'm a new client at Eyewear Express in Lafayette, Louisiana. I had a marvelous experience and was granted with superb service and great lenses. The staff were very helpful, professional and amiable. I got my lenses on time and as promise, the staff text me when my glasses were done so there was no need for me to seat and wait at the premises. I began ordering one pair of no lines trifocals and end up getting three pairs. They have an amazing collection of frames to choose from, I'm in the design industry so style is a plus for me, and remember, I got three pairs. Not just that I have my glasses done there but also my doctor check up and prescription.\r \r No, is not the first time I wear glasses, I use them for over 16 years. I'm convinced people only post reviews when they are not happy with a merchant. Can't understand these reviews for Eyewear Express. I've been going there for 4 years now and probably a dozen times for my 6 year old who is rough on her glasses and need adjustments quite often. it's the same staff and they are always nice to us. Sure you have to wait approx 20 minutes, but that's for ""drop ins"". Love the text msg feature to pickup your glasses when they are ready so I go shopping in the shopping center. Don't expect a miracle with no appointment and I have to say I wait less time with no appt. than with a doctor who makes me wait over an hour. Love the ""after hours"" times they are open and the economy glasses for kids. No complaints from me at all. more

i also had a bad experience. I was also told to come back in two hours, it took over three. The glasses are big, bulky, hurt me, and blurry! I want another pair but have been told I can ""buy"" another pair. Ive spent over $300 for glasses that I cannot stand to wear. The metal frames are scratchy and very uncomfy! the lenses have an awful glare and i see reflections in them. The ""receptionist"" was extremely rude and they act like we are a bother instead of customers they would like to have back. I am NEVER going back again! more

Bought a pair of Tommy Hilfiger glasses, eye exam and contacts over a year ago. Spend about 300 dollars in this crappy store. Went back a couple of days ago due to the stems of my glasses breaking and told me they were not under warranty any longer and she couldn't fix them. Asked her ""why"" they couldn't replace the screw or whatever it is they needed to do. Proceeded to tell me they ""no longer"" carry these glasses( I wonder why) and that I could #1 buy another pair of glasses AND lenses or #2 glue them together. Really???? Is this how you REALLY treat your customers? Okay thanks for your help EYEWEAR EXPRESS!! more

I am very surprised that no one has taken these people to court for false advertisement. While I was there this past week, no one was told their glasses would be ready in 1 hour. Every one was told at least 2 hours and I was there when they opened. My glasses were not ready after three hours and finally I told them that I didn't want the pair that wasn't ready and the manager suggested that maybe i didn't want the other pair either....so I left them! He sure didn't seem to care if I came back or not. Their's sure isn't a service industry. Needless to say, that was my LAST visit to Eyewear Express. All the money they spend on advertising sure isn't helping them if they can't keep people coming back. more

My husband and I went on a Friday, we were called went glasses were ready to be picked up on Saturday. We went to pick them up, waiting time was awfull, they had not tinted the sunglasses, so we had to wait additional time for that. When fitting the sunglasses, the assistant broke the glasses, had to refit new glasses. I went on a Monday to get my glasses done. Had already picked out frames on Friday. I was told they would be ready 5:30pm ( I was there around 2:00 pm (so the one hour thing is not honored) came back in time to check on my glasses (5:51pm). They were not ready was told it would take more time 5-20 minutes, after that time check again, was told still working on on them. It would be additional 20 minutes. Still waiting. At 6:30 still waiting, was told they were still working on them. Gave the one pair. Still working on sunglasses. 6:45 still waiting and was told they were still working on them. At 7:09pm after closing they came and told me that they had sold me lenses that could not be tinted as dark as promised. But I could keep these lenses for free and they would make me a pair with upgraded lenses and mail them to me. I was tired, no patience and angry for the run a round. I accepted the offer. The next I found out that the left lense was blurry and scratched at the top. No use to me. So the offer was a waste. Call the store and told the manager but was told there was nothing else for him to do. So what should have been compensation, is not. Can't use them for spares. So if you want quality service, don't go there. Cons: Not enough staff, don't keep the promise of 1 hour service. more
