The doctor and entire staff get 3A rating. I was seen at the appointed time, Ms. Maria picked my frames and they look GREAT, and Doc cut my glasses on the spot! I was in and out with glasses and contacts in 1.5 hours. Awesome! more

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Horak and his staff. We were seen with 10 min of our scheduled appt. Dr. Horak explained his findings in a non rushed manner. We had photos taken of our retina which is something we never had before. My sons glasses were made on site and ready in 15 min. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful in helping us choose glasses. I was able to leave with a trial pair of contacts. I would highly recommend EyesRUs as a personal family practice. more

It was a pleasure getting my eyes checked by Dr. Horak. He was very friendly and professional and really knew what he was doing. Eyes R Us also has friendly staff, is nicely designed inside, and a comfortable place in general. It also had a great selection of cool glasses to choose from, many of which were at very reasonable prices. It was a much better selection than some of the other places I have ever seen. Those negative reviews that were previously written are very misleading and should not be considered. In fact, several people who I spoke to in the store expressed similar feelings of satisfaction with the service they were receiving. I would definitely recommend anyone reading these reviews to ignore those first reviews and go to Eyes R Us. You wont be disappointed with the great quality of service! more

I have been to Eyes R Us a few times, and have been extremely satisfied with the service each time. The staff are very knowledgable, helpful and friendly. Dr. Horak has examined my eyes when ever I go to Eyes R Us, and he continues to meticulously determine my newly required prescription, provides great deals on contacts and glasses, has a terrific and unique variety of modern frames, and is always a pleasure to talk to. ( He has great interpersonal skills when dealing with his clients; he knows what we need and how to help us.) The lenses from this store are are also very durable, do not have glare, and are made from terrific quality that do not scratch. The transitional lenses are also terrific for every day wear, and their sunglasses block out the bright sunlight. The store is beautifully organized and has a great presentation. Also, I have always been greatly uncomfortable with the idea of wearing contacts. However, once I began playing sports more competitively, I realized that I could no longer wear glasses since they interfered with my game. Dr. Horak taught me how to wear contacts, and was very patient, despite my nervousness and multiple trials of being unable to put them in. In the end, I was successful and am grateful for his help. I definitely recommend Eyes R Us to everyone; there is something for everyone of all ages, whether you need an eye examination, glasses, contacts, or friendly service. more

I definitely agree with the last writer. I made an appointment for an exam with Dr. Horak at Eyes R Us and couldn't have been happier with the service I received. The exterior of the building is quite unassuming but when you walk in the doors you feel like you're in a Buckhead boutique. The staff was super friendly and Dr. Horak has a great sense of humor and gives a thorough exam. There are lots of very cool frames to choose from but also frames to fit every budget. Since I'm a mom I was also impressed with the amount and style of children's frames available. I would definitely recommend (and have already) to anyone. more

I am a little confused after reading previous reviews of Eyes R Us Family Optical; maybe the office has recently undergone a change in staff! I came to Dr. Horak's office because he is on my insurance and I had a wonderful experience. The staff was very nice, the office was comfortable, and the frame selection was much nicer than other places I have looked at in the past. Not only did I buy glasses and contacts from Dr. Horak at Eyes R Us, but I referred other co-workers to his office. They are all also very pleased with their service and plan on going back in the future for their next eye exam and purchases. more

I went to this eye doctor because it was close to my job and my insurance covered the work I needed. Needless to say, everything was fine until I needed my contacts shipped to me in another state. After waiting two weeks for the lens to come in, I asked the receptionist to ship them to my new address. I even offered to have her use my FEDEX account number so I could track the package. I even offered to pay for tracking when she told me she could only ship via USPS and wouldn't be responsible for lost or damaged packages. Needless to say, its been THREE weeks and I have yet to receive my contacts. I have called every three days and keep getting the run around from the receptionist. She claims she will give the doctor the information and have him re ship the lens with tracking this time. So after waiting another week, I called and the Doctor answers the phone and has no idea whats going on! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! more

I called theoffice manager and it forwarded the call to the managers cell phone. I asked her if she would fax my prescription to WalMart. She said she was not in the office and said she would not fax it for me until much later. I told her that i need my prescription soon because i was on vacation and my contact ripped.I told her I was extremely aggravated that she could not get to it, she told me it was going to be 24-48hrs. I told her that I felt that she was not very helpful and hung up. Cons: Sneaky and dishonest more
