I joined Events and Adventures 6 1/2 months ago after putting it off for about a year! Each time I heard the radio ads I thought...I want to join!!! But, I didn't work up the nerv...

This is the most unprofessional group of people I have ever met. I am a former employee and they never paid me a paycheck! I had to file a civil suit and hire an attorney. I would never give your money to such an incapable company. If they are scamming their own employees you know they are scamming their customers. more

I can't recommend it. The events are disorganized the event planner does not have a clue and only plans events that are convenient to her and her husband and she complains constantly about having to do any work and bad mouths the members. The lack of integrity with this business is ridiculous. The cost is very expensive, you think you are getting interesting events when you sign on but the calendar is full of stuff that requires as little effort as possible and the members are asked to host the events so that the employees don't have to work. There is absolutely no interest in member satisfaction and members are often ordered to keep issues to themselves and threatened with lawsuits if they complain. Doug E Fresh is way out of line when it comes to the members though. The members are fabulous and fun, but there are way too many other options out there to get out and meet people and you won't feel like you were mugged when they raid your checking account every month and give almost nothing in return. more

As a current member and a former host for events and adventures I want to warn people who are thinking about joining how poorly run this organization is and the lies that they tell you to trick you into joining. I have overlooked the lies they told me because I wanted to make the best of it. They claim to have over 1000 members when the actual numbers are around 250 and the active members are probably around 100. They are way overpriced and rumor has it the price is going up. That just shows how out of touch Mark is. Another example of Mark not caring about the members is volleyball. They have volleyball almost every week a lot of the members complain that its too much, but we are told that Mark wants it. The last straw for me was when the owner Mark demoted the event coordinator. He did a great job and his concerns were for the members. Mark said that he was demoted because the two big member parties (Halloween and New Year's Eve) were awful. When I put a poll on Facebook to find out from the other members if they thought the parties were awful. There was only 1 vote for awful and that was from Mark himself, every other vote said it was good or great. Mark then told him to have me take the poll down or he would lose his job. more

The best social club in Phoenix!!!!! 5/25/2011

I joined Events and Adventures 6 1/2 months ago after putting it off for about a year! Each time I heard the radio ads I thought...I want to join!!! But, I didn't work up the nerve to call until around December 2010 and I AM SO GLAD I JOINED! I have been having THE TIME OF MY LIFE. The group is fun and dynamic, the events are adventurous and so, so fun! I thought it would be a bunch of chumps, but it is a huge group of local, single, pre-screened professionals who are looking to meet other quality singles and to get out of the house to be active and do the things we all love to do. I would recommend this club to anyone who is looking to meet quality, local singles in a safe and natural environment. I even met an amazing guy in the club so who knows what the future holds!!! more

Great Place to Meet People 2/21/2011

So I wanted to meet people face to face instead of meeting online. I felt that it was more personal and I could get a better feel for who the person is and what they are truly like. I also like the fact every person who comes to the place have to be screened and admitted in. It isn't everyone just come on down. I have fun at every event I attend because they are events I want to be at and the people at the events are nice as well. If you are looking to meet others and are sick of the internet and the pitfalls it brings go to Events and Adventures. You will be very happy you did more

Review Events and Adventures 12/29/2010

Doug E. Fresh has it wrong his review does not pertain to EventsandAdventures neither the club nor the Phoenix members allow conduct so unbecoming as he describes. Further, his characterization as members being misfits and social outcasts is uncalled for and inaccurate at the least. I do not know why reviews such as his are allowed to be published. Shame on him and citysearch for lacking a better screening process. more

April's Events & Adventures Review 7/14/2010

Hank and I both joined Events & Adventures in early 2004. We first met at a group theater event which was also happened to be one of the first experiences either of us had with Events & Adventures. Initially, we were paired with different people, including my girlfriend, who had attended the event with me, showing an initial interest in Hank. Over the next couple of years, Hank and I attended many of the same events. We?d gotten to know one another, did a bit of harmless flirting, a lot of laughing at life in general and marveling at how we kept finding the wrong people, but also remaining confident the right one was out there. It never failed ? we?d get an invitation from Events & Adventures, review the details and always managed to run into each other along the way. more
