Two years ago, my then 9 year old, was struggling with headaches, backaches and sleeping issues. Through 80 painful billion tests, it was unearthed that he had some medical issues. He had the beginnings of Tethered Spinal Cord syndrome.The solution of the medical industry was to prescribe my happy little boy with an adult anti-depressant to calm his headaches and offering no other alternative. He was no longer allowed to play outside as the medicine made him overly sensitive to sun. His metabolism stopped and he gained weight making him at risk for juvenile diabetes. He was emotionally a vegetable. It was disgusting. I weaned him off of the medication and for the last year have been searching for an alternative. Chiropractic was not even on my list. Several weeks ago I was involved in a low speed collision when the person in the vehicle behind me let her foot off the brake and rear ended me. With no damage to the car I visited the emergency room and was advised that I'd be sore for a few days and to follow up with a physician. Two weeks later I began to feel a great deal of pain in my shoulders and neck so made my appointment with Doctor Perks. After a thorough consultation and establishment of expectations we began my course of therapy. Not only did the issues with my neck and shoulders become resolved after only a few visits but my general quality of life began to improve. Issues that I'd been experiencing with my general health began to resolve themselves as my body was now able to function more and more correctly with each visit. Being a performer on stage and in film I am often tasked with a great variety of physical activities. A month after I began my therapy I pulled my calf muscle only three days before the opening of a play. Doctor Perks and his entire staff met me at the door and immediately began working on healing my leg; I was given an honest appraisal of the situation but assured that I would be well enough to perform that weekend. After another session on opening night I was able to perform with minimal pain. Having researched chiropractic medicine in depth years prior I believed in chiropractic care but Doctor Perk and his staff showed me much more than I could have studied on my own. My wife started seeing Dr. Perks at the Radcliff office of Eriksen Chiropractic Centers in July of last year for a chronic situation and saw amazing results right from the start. Through Dr. Perks' explanation of chiropractic care and the detailed care plan for my wife I also learned the true value of regular chiropractic wellness care and the potential resulting benefits. As an long time distance runner I am always looking for ways to improve my times and competitive performance and realized this was an untapped resource I needed to explore. After starting regular maintenance visits I saw a marked improvement in my endurance over long distances and shortened recovering times following those runs. On Dec 13, 2011 I developed Bells Palsy on the right side of my face my right eye wouldn?t close all the way, my mouth drooped , when I ate I drooled and had problems. I was paralyzed on the right side, I had trouble talking. My words were slurred because the right side didn?t work right. I work in a call center and talk all day. I went to the medical doctor and he prescribed meds. By Saturday I had a lot of pain from my cheek into the right ear. My husband called Doctor Patrick Trenary at the Dixie Hwy office in Louisville, Ky. I was very skeptical that this would help. He adjusted my neck and after the 1st adjustment the pain was gone that went from my cheek to ear. He did adjustments every day for 7 days with each adjustment there was improvement. On Thurs Dec 23 my right cheek just below the eye twitched all day and I had pain in my right jaw bone. Dr T said the nerves were waking up. By Friday the twitch and jaw bone didn?t hurt. I was able to eat on Christmas day normally with out the drooling and had a full smile again. I am a believer now. I was so pleased with Eriksen when I walked in the doors. The facility is bright, welcoming, and professional. The staff at Eriksen Chiropractic are cheerful, eager to listen, and easy to talk to. They welcome not only me, but my children, also. My kids love seeing Dr Nick and Dr Kelli each week and I am very pleased with the results I am seeing from their corrective care. They accept many forms of insurance and handle all sorts of billing issues for you, making treatment so much easier! Chiropractic care has helped heal my body more than any traditional care I have received for my chronic conditions over the past 8 years. I am a firm believer in drug-free, natural healing and chiropractic care is essential to my well-being. I went here a little over a year ago. Right away, I informed them that I was going to have to pay out of pocket for all my care, so to be up front with what I was going to be charged. At first, I was somewhat uncomfortable with my care provider, as he seemed very unsure and inexperienced with what he was doing. Found out later, he was very new. Nothing wrong with being new and learning, but he shouldn't have been by himself this early. When I got my bill in the mail, I was SHOCKED at some of the charges on there. One of which was $45 for a PIECE OF PAPER that simply said ""Apply ice for 10 minutes, heat for 20 minutes, ice for 10 minutes, heat for 20 minutes, etc"". It was described on my bill as ""Home management training 1 on 1"". YEAH RIGHT! All the lady did was give me the paper and read the ice and heat directions to me. I could have found this on Google if I wanted to and read it myself and saved myself $45! This place was a joke. They couldn't even tell me why I was experiencing pain where I was. They actually pretty much ignored my primary concern and kept wanting to put me on the massage machine table. I started going to Eriksen Chiro with shoulder and neck pain at the start of the month... and Dr Grove has done some work... they work well with my school and sports times and when I go in everybody is real cool Pros: awesome more

I was in so much pain after my wreck, that I wasn't able to take much enjoinment in my life. After hearing about Eriksen Chiropractic from a co-worker, I decided to give it a try even though I've always been a bit skeptical about chiropractors. After a short and easy examination, Dr. Grove started me on a schedule of therapy and adjustments. His office was very comfortable, and his team was both professional and friendly.
