I don't recommend this place my Dog died 15 days after a commom surgery, the other day with Prosek they wanted to negotiate a price while my dog was very ill or he wouldn't see him. I hate this place and would never go again. Last time I went it was empty animal lovers pick up the bad vibe. more

I love this clinic and have been using it for 12 years. I love Dr. Prosek and tell him he's my Prozac. I have many cats and dogs and they have always been very fair wih me. I was there yesterday with one of my cats and Dr. Prosek is back working full ime I was happy to see him more

STAY AWAY! It's under new management. Dr Prosek is gone. They are greedy. The prices have gone way up. They don't post their normal hours anywhere. They charge people emergency room rates starting at 5:30 PM. We are 20 year customers who are going elsewhere. more

i was shocked at the shameful lack of compassion displayed by this heartless facility. i adopted my cat, sammy, from a rescue organization 11 years ago. sammy has been an indoor cat ever since. about a week ago she slipped out, unnoticed while my husband and i were unloading groceries. hours later we realized she was gone. we found her in the wheel well of our car. she had been viciously attacked by an animal and was near death. we brought her to english plaza. they examined her and told us they would treat her for $600.00, C.O.D. like so many people in these trying financial times, we did not have an extra 6 hanging around. i said we will give a substantial downpayment and negotiate a payment plan. we were sitting in the waiting room while sammy was bleeding and torn up when they turned us down. this is not a major urban area. it is a small south florida community. my husband & i are both locally, gainfully employed. in fact we are employed in a business that is frequented by the owner of this sad, shameful animal mill. all it would have taken was a simple background check and an official bank payment plan to save this animal's life. Michael Vick has nothing on these people. more

English Plaza is simply the best vet office! My family and I have been going there for over 12 years due to their kindness, honesty, and extremely fair prices. Dr. Prosek is gentle and kind with my dog and cat and genuinely loves the animals he takes care of. When my dog sees him she runs through the office door to get to him! I recommend him to all my friends; many of them have switched over to him as their regular vet. The best part is the price; English Plaza has the MOST reasonable prices. Dr. Prosek has kept my pets healthy and happy for over 12 years, and he will continue to do so for many years to come! more

i have going to Dr. Prosek for 10 years.... and you can go in with your animal if you want! (i ALWAYS have) .... maybe some better people skills wouldnt hurt... but thw=ey are ok by me. and if you are paying cash... what would you have them do.... HOPE that you come back with the money?? are you serious? how can you expect them to trust you? they take checks, visa,mc and amex!! and cash.... their prices are SO much better that i use him instead of one of the 5 vets that i can literally walk to! i live in S. After 14 years with our beloved Cat, his heart was failing. Dr. Prosek and the entire staff were empathetic and supportive of the difficult decision we had to make. We've been taking out pets to English for many years, and they have always given us the attention and care we expect.. If you're looking for a Vet that will treat you, AND your pets with sincere service and dignity, look no further than English!! more

I have read the comments, and I am a little worried. leave my dog with a broken leg, and the first day I saw the girls very loving with my dog. But now, I'm not sure. Call asking for someone and I was not treated with kindness by the staff. I was well treated with good care by a girl who speaks Spanish, but other staff do not feel that they treat people with the ethics that should, as people leave there, the animals we love, trusting that should be treated with the best care. When I first went to this Vet, I thought ""wow, what a great place!"" Until you have an emergency. My dog started to have puppies the first pup came out fine. The second pup, came out backwards and got stuck in the birth canal. Finally managed to get the 2nd pup out but it was dead. Rushed my dog to the Vet and I knew she was going to need a c-section. Left the one pup and the Mom with the Vet. I was told ""don't worry call us in a few hours, we take care of everything."" I was really on edge so I called as soon as I left and told them to please make sure the one puppy is eating often. After 10-15 minutes without eating, a puppy just born dies. I wasn't given any reassurance and right there I should have gone back. But, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Mind you, I've been going to this Vet for the last 2 years. Thirty minutes passed and I had to call again, to see if she had gone into surgery. When I call I was told ""we've been trying to reach you, your phone is disconnected"". I told her impossible, I've had the same # for the last 12 years and I'm calling you from the same # you just read back to me??!!! She begins to argue with me and insisting that my phone is disconnected??!! Then she tells me, make sure you bring $700. Told her money is not an issue, just please take care of my Dog! I didn't care about that right now; I wanted to know about my dog. So, they tell me they couldn't go into surgery until they had a signed consent to do the surgery. I was beside myself; I couldn't believe this was happening! I just left and wasn?t asked to give consent. They knew she needed surgery and they just blew me off. I was about 20 miles away; I was flying thru the streets to get to my dog so I could sign the consent. After all this time I knew all the puppies will be dead and now possibly the Mom too. Got there gave consent and paid $700. Told the girl to call me right now to check the phone # was correct. Showed her my phone and the # they had for me was right. She blew me off and didn?t give me an apology or any emotion of concern. I've never been treated so horribly. Finished with the surgery and basically all 5 puppies had died, even the first one that I asked to make sure he ate. Thank God, they didn?t kill my Dog too. That whole experience has left me traumatized. I'm currently seeing a lawyer and I will be taking this Vet to court. You can't have incompetent, careless, uncompassionate, people handling people's pets. For basic care this Vet is ok. But, DO NOT GO TO THIS VET WITH AN EMERGENCY. They just don?t care! English Plaza Animal Medical Center has really made a huge difference for my pet. The doctors were all fantastic. The charges were more than fair compared to any other clinic. They fixed my dogs broken leg and she was home in 2 days and back to normal in no time! Pros: Inexpensive, quality without pressure to run up expenses Cons: Little face to face doctor time more

I don't think of it as that bad like people say. My experience was going into there with my guinea pig, and they gave me medication for it, and my guinea pig is perfectly fine today. Although I dislike not being able to see the vet and having them take her in alone. They cut her nails for her, too. I like this vet. So far so good. I had a 4 year german shephard that started v*miting. I brought to Dr. Prosec. He said it wasn't serious. It got worse and we took him back 3 times in 1 week!! Each time asking for tests to be done. The Dr. insisited it was necessary. He died the day after the 3rd visit. Pros: cheap Cons: doesn't do tests more

I went to this hospital to neuter my 6 months Labrador retriever. You never see the Dr. The waiting room was dirty. Too much waiting time. After 4 days I went back because the incision was looking infected, they told me was a reaction to the sutures. Them I decided to look for second opinion in the Homestead area. The incision was infected. In this hospital they told me English Plaza use a no license Veterinarian from South America to do surgical procedures. I will never come back to this place more

staff not friendly,. you will never feel welcome... long waits, poor billing procedures, dr doesn't return calls, the assistant to dr is gifted with animals and is very considerate... Pros: the price Cons: many more

These people seem to care more about money than your pet, My first visit was not a pleasant one. I called and asked what they charged for a visit they said $20.00 hmmm sounds good, so I figured with what my dog needed done it would most likely be no more than $100.00 so that's what i took, they performed services without advising me of the cost which I should have known better anyways the bill was $136.00. more
