Fell in Love 8/5/2011

I went to the Empty Vase while bopping around town buying random gifts for work people and fell in love! I saw such unique, creative, beautiful, playful arrangements that I literally gasped when I walked in, and when I got back to work, immediately emailed anyone likely to buy me flowers and told them this was the only place to go (anyone likely to buy me flowers knows how picky I am!!!). I live in SF now and there's not a lot I miss about LA - Take, Asanebo, Jones, BLD and Empty Vase are really the only things that I have not been able to replace. I am currently on the look out for an amazing florist in SF, but I'm not holding out hope that any place can top the uniqueness of Empty Vase. more

Occassionally I get flowers and every so often they are from The Empty Vase. When I do get them from Empty Vase, I take them home to my husband and say, ""This is how it's supposed to be all of the time."" more

After weeks of appointments trying to find the right florist, I came across Empty Vase's website. Although I doubted I would be able to afford them, I set up the appointment anyway hoping to test my luck. I met with Yvonne, and although they do A list celebrity clients, she was more than happy to work with my budget and assured me that everything would be beautiful. That was an understatement - my wedding had flowers EVERYWHERE and it was beyond gorgeous! Yvonne went above and beyond my expectations, and gave me more than I could ask for. Even more, Yvonne was so kind throughout the whole process and even came with me to other appointments to assist me with some wedding planning. I couldnt say anything more about Yvonne and Empty Vase - she made me feel like a celebrity :) more

I LOVE all their designs 6/22/2011

I LOVE all their designs, it's so unique, fresh and beautiful to look at! You can tell they really pride themselves in being one of the most sought after floral boutiques by their craftsmanship. The arrangements are spectacular, with each flower deliberately and carefully placed in its respective place adding to the beauty as a whole. I've received 3 arrangements thus far (and hopefully more to come) and each successive time I am more blown away by how breathtaking they are. It's definitely not your cookie cutter, generic, 1-800-CALL-FLOWERS type of look. Which is fantastic in my book. If you have a discerning eye/taste for the finer things in life then look no further...You have found the holy grail of awesomeness. more

Somehow the wilted flowers they sent are my fault!?!? Hummm 5/13/2011

THEY SEND OLD FLOWERS!!!!! MY FLOWERS LASTED 3 DAYS....AND THAT'S BEING NICE! The flowers that they sent were old, had brown edges and were already wilted. This place is not cheap, I called and she said that they must have been in poor air inside my house! Oh and the ""cracked glass"" vase that they charge for (that should be at the dollar store) was actually chipped! This place is JUNK!!! Save your money or at least spend it somewhere else!! ALL she had to do was offer something....anything, a discount off my next purchase or just replace them - I would have even gone to pick them up. But saying it was my fault -come on! I didn't eve bother taking a picture of the arrangement for a keepsake. more

Very unhappy with this florist 5/13/2011

I don't believe the positive reviews. I think they are made up to counter all the horrible reviews out here. The place is a catastrophe. Lied to us about the delivery. Left the flowers far away, unprotected, in a driveway (even though there were people home to get the delivery) where no one could see them where they died. Actually hung up on us when we tried to solve the problem. Finally threatened to sue and then they agreed to refund my money. They also offered nothing to remedy the situation so they ruined an event, wasted 3 hours of my time, upset everyone. my vote is stay away. more

Great flowers and even friendlier staff 11/11/2009

I have been ordering from the Empty Vase for over two years and have never had a bad experience. The flowers are always refresh, the designs are never generic, and the staff bends over backwards to help me EVERY SINGLE TIME! People posting bad reviews about them are not being completely honest. Maybe these people aren't realizing that this is probably the busiest florist in Los Angeles...every time I am in there, the sales girls are running around, answering 6 phone lines and dealing with customers in the shop. I will continue to use this florist and refer every one of my friends to them...I never even have to give specific instructions...I trust them whole heartedly. Thank you Empty Vase! Pros: Fresh, creative designs. Prompt delivery. Friendly staff Cons: None I know of more
