good customer service, noisy, not worth the money! 3/11/2008

horrible! we spent 200 dollars and left hungry. I expected a lot from Emeril's place because hes a big chef on tv. The appetizers were overpriced and nothing special. The entrees like the red fish, the porkchops, and the chicken were too expensive for the quality of it. My friend said the pork chop was dry and covered with sauce and some roasted potatos. Nothing special. The fish was covered with a bunch of seasoning and scattered with a pile of string potatos. Sort of bland and odd flavoring. The chicken was tender, but again covered with a bunch of tortillla strips. Nothing special at all! The drinks were ok. A bit expensive for a drink that wasnt special visually and drastically different in taste than stuff you get at a local bar. I don't know why the meal price listed here says mid range. I think it should be $$$ (3) dollar signs at least because the lowest entree is priced at 30 dollars up to 50. Add on a drink and a soup or salad and it averages to about 60 per person. Not including dessert. I had better quality food, at a more affordable cost at a place located in downtown near the local shops. Stay away from this place. Pros: the waiters were friendly! the pre dinner bread was good! Cons: expensive prices for low quality food. drinks too expensive for the quality. noisy. lacked flavor. more

Disappointing... 7/17/2007

My husband took me there to celebrate my birthday; we had reservations and waited for about 45 minutes while several parties were seated ahead of us. I started to notice a couple of them coming back to tip the guy at the front, who kept telling us we were next. I was starving and watching people cut the line by bribing the man who sat everyone. After almost an hour waiting I thought I would have the best meal ever- well, it was OK, but really not worth $120 (which was what it cost for the two of us, no alcohol ordered). Would NOT go back- there are much better options in Miami!! Pros: The server was nice Cons: Long waits, overpriced, people bribing get tables ahead of reservations more

Emeril dining experience in Miami, a complete Nightmare! 3/20/2007

The appetizers were barely ok. despite the extensive wine list (on which no decent bottle was under about $100- , in my opinion, I've found that usually one can locate a good selection in the $50-$70 range Then dinner - I ordered andouille-encrusted redfish - and got what in my perception resembled a frozen fish filet, defrosted, and coated in 4C breadcrumbs and tabasco sauce. It was cooked into mush and vaguely spicy, but no hint of andouille. The plates were taken from us within about 10 minutes, bread crumbs swept on the floor by a busboy - we were so aggravated we decided to cut our losses and call it a night. Start to finish? Out the door in about an hour. more

A DREAM COME TRUE!!! 8/24/2006

The hotel is beautiful and the service is fabulous. We had the avocado shrimp, salmon and a chicken disk with tortilla strips and the cheesecake. Everything, everything, everything was well prepared, well seasoned and beautifully presented. My husband and I could not have been more pleased and we recommend this restaurant very highly. Whenever we are in South Beach, we will be coming back. Pros: Ambience, Service, FOOD Cons: Little Pricey but totally worth it more

Amazing Attention, Delicious Dishes, Beautiful Restaurant!!! 7/17/2006

My husband and I were trying to decide where to have dinner since we were staying at the Loews hotel. Since we didn't want to drive around to find a restaurant we decided to stay in the hotel and try out Emeril's. To our suprise, this place is amazing. I love to cook so I appreciate flavors, seasonings, and I know how long it takes to make a dish perfect. Well, when ever I thing back to the dinner my mouth waters. The pumpkin soup was creamy and still really hot. Then my husband had the lamb, and I beef loin with blue cheese sauce. Incredible. And the dessert.... well just go try it out before I continue drooling all over my self. Cons: The restaurant from the outside look cheesy. more

Food Channel Fantasy Becomes Reality."" 6/9/2006

With sky-high expectations of what Emeril can masterfully create in the kitchen, my hopes were that I would fall from my chair after savoring his exquisite delicacies. It just so happened that I almost did upon first tasting the impeccable filet mignon along with the famed New Orleans barbecue shrimp. My feelings at that moment would have been just as content had Emeril literally prepared my meal for that memorable evening. The food was absolutely magnificent leaving me breathless with each and every bite. Emeril may have truly been working in the kitchen that night. The ambiance, service, and location were right on target as highly expected. A reservation is a must along with a fine appetite. Everyone can now officially stop fantasizing over Emerils gastronomical creations on the television screen and enjoy them for what they truly are at The Loews Miami Beach. L.A. Pros: Everything. Cons: None. more
