The sheer audacity, impersonal, and unprofessional disregard the owners of Elizabeth’s Embellisments recently displayed is unconscionable. This complaint is not about the money, it is about principle. In my case there was a mis-order, albeit debatable whose fault, but that is not the real issue. (I was ordering an item titled Cherry Blossom, and maybe hit cherry, and it turns out they sell other cherry items. Another problem with this company is once you place your order their initial confirmation email does not name the item. It will say you ordered item # such and such. Again, I am not sure whose fault is it, but I did explain all of this; yet they were unreasonable.) Heed this warning, and do not do business with this company because if there is even a small snag, you are screwed. I was a first time buyer; so prior to placing my order I called and spoke directly to the owner, Elizabeth, then I ordered online. I made the call because I wanted to ensure the item was exactly what I was looking for. Upon receipt of the wrong item I immediately placed a call, I wanted to do an exchange for the correct item, plus double the quantity. I explained to Elizabeth’s husband, Paul, I would be willing to split the shipping costs. Now don’t you hate when the owners tell you there is nothing they can do! That simply is not so since they make the policies. I happen to sell and ship merchandise, and there is no question, I would have absorbed the shipping costs, even if the customer canceled the order, let alone doubled their order, which was my intent. I tried every form of diplomacy but not even after a conversation, followed by an email, would these owners budge. I guess the six dollars and change one way shipping cost is more important than selling 2 items, and keeping a new customer. That alone is a flag to steer clear.
