It was a quiet afternoon at the Elbow Room with few customers. I had entered the place slightly distressed and in need of a phone. I was allowed to make the call and then I left. I had reentered once again in need of the phone. This time however I was told no. I then proceeded to tell them that my baby was lost and that I needed to find him. I asked if it would be possible to call the police for me. The manager herself informed me that it was their policy and I quote ""We do not call the police unless it is an emergency involving our business."" This is unacceptable. Side note: I did find my baby. He had been lost for four and a half hours. This time would have been dramatically reduced had they called the police.
