We've been going since the '80s. Their entrees are as good as any, but the hot sauce is what keeps us going back. I made the mistake of buying some to go and sharing with co-workers. A 32 ounce container and THREE bags of chips doesn't last one hour at work. Several co-workers now ask me weekly ""when you brigin' El Taquito"" or ""it's mexican dinner night (Wed.), you'll have El Taquito tomorrow, right""? P.S.: FOODY411 IS ONE HOT MAMA!!! more

Great Local East Dallas Cafe! 9/23/2011

Best crispy tacos ever! HOT, or you can try the milder ranchero salsa, for those who don't like real spicy food. The Mexican Dinner gives you a big dinner with 2 enchiladas, rice, refried beans, a taco, and you can get tortillas also if you want. Nice famiily owned and run cafe with plenty of security. (off duty sheriffs and constables on hand) alot of law enforcement people eat here on their breaks too. more

Great price better food 12/18/2009

The hot sause is so hot it'll make your head sweat. This ain't no uptown, yuppie, Tex-Mex eatery. Only real authintic mexican food. We drive150 miles round-trip just to eat here. The neighborhood may look a little rough but we've always felt safe. Try it you will love it! Pros: REAL Mexican food more
