I ate at the restaurant last week while I visited family in the area. I'm not a fan of many spanish restaurants, but this one has my vote. The food was excellent as well as the service. We were celebrating two birthdays and this place won the Best Place to celebrate a birthday. It was not the typical birthday song, it was a tropical show!! I highly recommend this restaurant. more

OK . . . so I order from here regularly. Delivery service has been great. I've had much better experience eating at the resteraunt. The food overall is above average. There have been a few times that I've been dissapointed ( 5 shrimps in Camarones Enchilados plus I got no white rice and no plastic utensils on a delivery order wth). Mofongo is good most of the time. The white rice has always been great. Arroz con Gandules pretty good but a little greasy. Love the Vaca frita! Breakfast Special is a deal. The sandwiches are all good. Would I go again? Im looking at the menu right now! more

If you are Boricua, looking for good food from home, DO NOT COME HERE!!! You know what the food tastes like? You remember that one friend you had, that you used to go to their house and try to get out of there quick before their mai made you eat her food?? Well apparently she found a job cooking at El Rinconcito! El arroz? Soso! El pastel? Seco! El lechon? Seco Y soso! El mofongo? Un plegoste! Escuchame bien mi gente! NO SIRVE!!! more

I hated the mofongo from this place. It had a strong taste of chicharrones (pork skin). Its nothing like the one i had at a restaurant in puerto rico. I felt like it was a cubanized mofongo :/ more

I was just there last night after a couple of days in Miami, I tried the typical places in Lincoln Rd. and such, and this was by far the best meal of my trip, it is a little bit out of the way but totally worth it, we started with the alcapurrias (that I also brought a dozen frozen back to Texas) and there were soo yummy, then I had the Churrasco relleno de Mofongo, and it was the best mofongo I've had in my life! it was so tasty, and the crunchiness with the chicharron was just perfect, the churrasco with the chimichurri sauce worked perfectly with the mofongo, I was so full but I could not stop eating and loving every bite of it!\r \r Now about the place, well they say you pay for the "experience" , it might not have the whole "South beach" White Curtains and white leather sofas, but it can not get any more authentic than this, the staff is so happy and attentive that you can tell they enjoy working there, there was a Birthday and I have never seen such a lively Happy Birthday song! turned down the lights, everybody with a different instrument, you couldn't help but to join in and sing! having said that, we did NOT pay good enough for the experience! again, Best Meal in Miami!! more

I have been coming to this place for over 10 years. The food is above average for a latin restaurant and the prices are low to average. Lunch specials are very good and affordable. This is basically a Cuban-Puerto Rican place with husband/wife team, one from Cuba and the other spouse from PR. If you like fufu (for Cubans) or Mofongo (as Puerto Ricans call it), you are in for the very best you can find in the states. Nice and crunchy mashed green plantains with crushed garlic and with the chicharrones (crushed fried pork rinds) on top. Order it plain or in a wood mortero with fried pork chunks (masitas de puerco fritas) or any other meat or fish offered. Yellow rice (arroz con gandules) is also very good. This is more of a PR dish than arroz con pollo (more of a cuban dish) which they don't make. Bistecs, moros and your other latin american and Cuban staples are better seasoned here than La Carreta or other more established places. Service is excellent and they have take out. more

This establishment does not serve chicken and rice. This dish is a staple in Puerto Rican households yet this place does not serve it.\r I was disappointed with the food, the live music was fun but not good enough for me to make a second visit. more

Yo he comprado del Rinconcito hace 12 anos y la comida, el servicio y los precios son los mejores! El dueno Pedro es muy amable y un dia en el medio de un huracan, hasta le regalo comida a la comunidad! Se los recomiendo al 120%! more

Big portions for a moderate price. I found the food to be too greasy and the service too slow. more
