In Short
Although this 500-acre park just east of the 280 freeway near San Mateo doesn't boast the dramatic scenery of many other Bay Area parks, it outclasses all of those locales in one very important characteristic: accessibility. A 10-minute stroll from the parking lot on the east side of the freeway at the Edgewood Road interchange will take you through beautiful patches of filaree, blue-eyed grass, sun cups, lupine, California poppies and more than 50 other species of wildflowers.
