As an “older” American and a concern for reliability, it was time to do a vehicle upgrade. After searching online, I determined I would need a loan. A visit to my banker went well and ended up with a “loan commitment letter”. My plan was to start a comprehensive search, narrow it down to a few vehicles, then do the test drives, etc. I was not looking forward to this ordeal. Just as I was getting ready to leave the banker said “you should take a look at EAST SIDE AUTO in St Paul Park, MN. . They have pretty good deals, are great to work with. and have a lot of inventory. Talk to Nathan” That may have been the best single piece of advice I’ve ever received. ?? They have a very large lot, and have a golf cart type vehicle to take you around… this saved a lot of walking! After mentioning to Nathan that I was hoping to get a lower mileage car with 4WD, he said “we have the perfect fit for you coming in… should be just a couple of days”. I would like to mention here that not only is Nathan very knowledgeable, but also very personable. The vehicle he had described was a perfect fit for my needs. We made a deal (an excellent deal), and he said it would be ready to pick up in a few days. His very able assistant, Kris, put the paperwork together and I was out the door. Stopped at the bank and picked up a check and waited for a call. In a couple of days, the car was ready and another surprise. Without me asking, or any change in price, the car had four brand new tires!! Shock! This is the fastest I have ever bought a car. All the people working there were very willing to help and nice. This is a diamond in the rough. If you are looking for good price and low miles this is the place. Thanks for everything Nathan "Stayed late to finish our sale" The Nelson Family more

They are about as honest as a politician. I have never seen a worse dealership in my life when it has come to honesty. If you think about coming here, don't. No price negotiations, and expect to get double crossed. Took my car to a mechanic, as it is the smart thing to do before buying it, and they told me what was wrong. Told East Side about it, and they didn't wanna throw any more money down on it. So then I asked if I come up with the money would you install it. They said they would install it for free. Only then do they turn around and say they wouldn't have the time to do that. So I get my hopes up twice with them. That doesn't get them sales, that only gets them bad reviews like this. I had a friend actually tell me not to go there, but I wanted to give it a try. I hate looking stupid like this, it makes me sick. I honestly hope this place burns to the ground or goes out of business because they're honestly just a waste of space. more

Do not purchase a vehicle from here. My boyfriend bought a car less than two weeks ago and has nothing but trouble. They did not disclose all of the vehicle's issues ( I strongly suspect they hid some issues like the leaks in the tires) and it was over-priced. We will be going out of our way to make sure all of our friends and family know this place is untrustworthy. Maybe if it has an impact on their business, they will be less shady. Total scam. more
