I went to East Dayton Tattoo (October 2011) to have some old faded art work redone. After talking with Glen we settled on exactly what I wanted and price. From the very beginning I wasn't to sure of this guy as he didn't seem to have much social skills. None the less its not his conversation I was hiring it was his talent. The work he performed was satisfactory.
The problem; two weeks later part of the tattoo work he did started to peel off. It was like the ink wasn't set in far enough. Now I took care of the tattoo and did all the after care stuff down to the letter and product that Glen recommends written down on the back of his business card. I absolutely do not feel that I ignored these crucial post steps of getting a tattoo!
Exactly one month later I went back to Glen with before & after pictures of the work. Plus I had my arm to show the current condition of the art work. His response was less than encouraging. He seemed annoyed and pissed off. Not knowing if it was at me or he had to redo his work, I wasn't sure. This time with Glen was completely different. One could tell he just hadn't "smoked" any yet. He was rude, very quit, and boarder line in polite. His work at this point was less than satisfactory as some of the blending is still not done correctly and there is a obvious screw up on my tattoo where he put ink where none belongs.
After he was finished the guy had the audacity to tell me its his business policy for the past 25 years to charge $40 dollars for re work. I wonder if its also the policy for the past 25 years not to do the job right the first time!
Bottom line is don't bother with this place! Glen has some skill I admit that but nothing that one couldn't find elsewhere. He has absolutely no customer skills and he is very unpleasant sitting there with for long periods of time!
