In late January my canine companion and I made an unanticipated visit to ECV. Pepper is a vivacious two and a half year old Jack Russell terrier who was diagnosed with epilepsy last November. My family and I returned home late one Saturday evening to find Pepper trapped between the wall and a bed post shivering and confused. Judging by her state of mind, body and location we assumed she had experienced another seizure spell while we were gone. ECV is not her normal place of veterinary care; however we were SO lucky to have been in the area visiting family at the time. I contacted the Doctor on call, Dr. Mary Olson, as it was after midnight. She agreed to see Pepper immediately, so we met at the clinic and proceeded to stabilize her. After a solid two hours of monitoring, and several administrations with potent anticonvulsant drugs Pepper?s cluster seizures finally ended. I have used East Central Veterinary Clinic for about 4 years now. I went on the insistence of my parents, who have used them for about 10 years now. Not only do they have great personnel who are so willing to assist and hold your hand (if the need arises), they are efficient, get you in as quickly as possible, and have stayed after hours for us in an emergency. They saved my Mastiff from pyometra (a toxic infection of the uterus) when she was nearly dead and we didn't know what was wrong with her and had boarded her with someone for a while. Unfortunately, she later died from the pet food poisoning in Spring 2006. However, even then, they were great. They held my hand after I brought her in and filled out the papers for her cremation. They were full of hugs and sympathy and they truly love your animals. They remember everybody. You will not be disappointed. It frustrates me that some crazy person gave a bad review after having gone to 50 different vets with the same opinion e more

I have taken many of our animals to this vet. I really ike everyone i have meet there. They are all very friendly. The office is very clean. Staff very helpful. I can call there witha question about my pet and know they will give me a answer if they can with out having to bring animals into them. There pricing is also very good. They have all kinds of pet products for sale there and good prices. My pets love going there. more
