The food is good and the portions are large, a bit expensive though. The service is poor. They forgot we were waiting, they forgot the drinks and they even forgot to bring us menues! They didn't forget to present the very large bill though. Even with a reservations, plan to spend a lot of time playing the waiting game at EJ'S Place. I would never recomend EJ'S place. For the price, the service should be much better. Pros: comped valet parking Cons: The very worst in service more

If you charge Morton's prices, you should deliver Morton's quality. 10/1/2006

Way, way over priced restaurant. $40 steaks without the atmosphere, service, quality, or value. If you want an Outback experience for a Morton's price, you might like this place. How else could they justify $22 fetucini alfredo and $40 NY strips with no special qualities? Not bad food, just twice the price that it should be. Pros: Food is not bad. Cons: WAY over-priced, and a really noisy ambience. more

My family loves this place! EJ's Place combines a true Chicago-style Italian Steakhouse with the charm and demeanor of a North Woods supper club. Plush leather booths, out-of-this-world steaks, chicken and peppers, lamb chops, huge fried shrimps, dover sole, fresh stone crab claws, homemade pasta & desserts - you can't beat the quality of the food served here. "Old School" service makes your dining experience first rate. Has huge stone woodburning fireplace and warm lodgy feel. Although it isn't inexpensive, for the money EJ's is one of the best suburban casual fine dining places around. Also has great take-out. Free valet parking is a nice touch. I highly recommend EJ's Place. Pros: Great food & service, Very large portions, Free valet parking more

Fantastic, old-school service and the best steak on the North Shore. Pros: delectable steak, prompt service, cozy decor more
