The Dusty Boot is your atypical Country Western inspired steak house in the heart of the BeaverCreek Ski Resort. The menu offers a wide variety of appetizers, Burgers, Steaks and Salads which should allow even picky eaters to find something that will meet their needs. \r

Our meal consisted of the a fullrack of BBQ Ribs, New York Strip (MR), Filet Mignon (M), and a Cowboy Steak (MR) (Bone-In Rib Eye) Sides were Grilled Veggies, Onion Rings, Mashed potatoes, Ceasar Salad, Tomato Basil Soup, and house salad. $170.00 with a few drinks. \r

The Soup was more of a bisque and not what we expected. It was lacking somewhat in the flavor department but was slavaged with a dash of salt and pepper. Onion Rings were excellent in every way. The Mashed Potatoes were well mashed, grilled veggies were yout typical assortment of veggies.\r

The filet was the winner of the evening and was served a very solid Medium Rare even though we ordered medium, we actually preferred the Med/Rare. The runner up was the Cowboy steak was the runner up. I will however run a caveat in that I ordered the Glaze on the side as I thought it had the potential to destroy a perfectly good piece of meat. I am happy having done so as the sauce was very sweet. We did have to send back the first steak which was a mishapen over cooked mess. The second however was exaclty as ordered. The ribs were slightly overcooked, not falling off the bone by any means. The NY Strip was a good cut of steak with an okay Blue Cheese and Brown Sauce. \r

Overall the Dusty Boot Steakhouse is your average middle of the line establishment a cut above an Outback but nowhere close to a S&W, Luger's, or Ben & Jack's. I think they tried to dress up the steaks with sauces when a smart cut of meat would have faired better. The burger's looked delicious and had many options for dressing them up (will try that for lunch at a later date) Value was reasonable given the location. My expectations were met, but not exceeded.
Pros: Good Service, Drink Specials, Family Friendly, Onion Rings
Cons: Inconsistent Meat Temps, Sauces overpower steaks.
