One of my good friends has taken his 13 yr old dog to this place since she was a puppy. If he said the vet was good and the prices terrific, I believed him. I have two small dogs ...

Worst

I have not been in this place in a long time. But have to agree with Quest, it is very unsanitary. Maybe that's why haven't been their in a long time. The smell will knock you out...

One of my good friends has taken his 13 yr old dog to this place since she was a puppy. If he said the vet was good and the prices terrific, I believed him. I have two small dogs that have gotten great care. In fact both of them were spayed there and they bounced back within 48 hours. The ambiance is not glamorous but the staff is all about taking great care of pets. more

I love Dr. Butler. I will agree that the place is old, and that Dr. Butler is also old, however he is a wonderful vet. He practices what I would consider ""old school vet medicine"". His prices are excellent, and I have taken my dogs to him for several years. Other vets I have taken my dogs to have given me the run around, told me my dogs NEEDED stuff that they didn't, then jacked up the prices at least 300%. This doesnt happen with Dr. Butler, he truly loves animals of all kinds, and cares for them and their owners with a caring honesty that you dont find elsewhere. So,if it matters to you that the facility is brand new, or that the doctor is young and graduated recently, then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a place with a very caring, loving vet who is doing this not to make money but to help animals, and dont care if the facility is old or the staf is not in matching scrubs, then you may want to consider the Bradenton Small Animal Hospital. more

This is a kindly old-time country Vet. No appointments - you go, wait your turn and are taken care of. They truly care about your pets and there's no pressure to purchase services that you don't need or want. Their prices are fantastic - therefore you are able to go more frequently for preventative care. It's not new or state of the art - but it's great care for the pet and a great value for the owner. more

I can't speak to some of the comments I've read regarding the change of ownership at this facility. When I went this week, Dr. Dunham was still there and he's been there for years. He has taken care of my cat through thick and thin and this week I had to say goodbye to my cat of 11 years due to kidney renal failure. Having to have my cat euthanized at the vet's office was the last thing I wanted. I wanted him to die in familiar surroundings at home, but he was in misery and it was time to make the difficult decision. I went to the facility in advance to pay and make an appt. When I arrived back with my cat, I got a room right away and Dr. Dunham was extremely caring. My cat went very peacefully and with dignity. I don't know what else you can expect from a vet's office other than complete compassion at an extremely difficult time. more

It still a great animale hospital. Dr Logas is great. I'm excited about the new building. Front desk is still great too. Dr Shaw very nice also. Both doctors have helped me with my cat China and taken lots of time to help me with my concerns. more

Dr. Doucet is an excellent vet, she assisted my 17yr old kitty with the medical attention he required; in addition she was sincere, compassionate and empathetic. The office staff was also professional and caring as they understood my kitty was in need of medical assistance. Furthermore, the prices are affordable. I would recommend Bradenton Small Animal Hospital. more

I love this place! Its not the most updated, nor the cleanest but this new doctor is great! I like that they are finally updating the office because lets face it, the other doctor never updated anything! Iv done my homework and even though the prices went up a little bit no other vet can come close to there low prices! As for the otger review by Pam, if your cat is having recurring eye infections then those meds Dr Butler put the cat on obviously wasnt the right meds and you should have brought your cat in to get rechecked instead of just picking up the same ones that werent working. Also that ""dumpy small office"" seemed just fine for you until prices went up JUST a little bit! more

They really care about your pets. They are cheap. No added costs like disposal fees or exam charge when my dog just needs vaccinated. Great service. The new staff and doctors are helpfull and friendly. more

everything people are saying about bsah is laughable.I have been going to dr butler for many years. This man was always gruff and grumpy every time I saw him. People are complaining about prices. Well let me inform you about the way your prices were cheaper with dr butler.A family member worked there for two days because they were having her wash needles not sterlize them for reuse. Ok so if your pet got an injection and the needle wasnt real clean oops what then. Yall have a bad case of dr butler worship.And you complain about the cleanliness.of the office,and how long have you been going there it has allways been in this shape but i guess lower prices put blinders on huh!!!!!!!!! These new doctors havent been here long enough for you to be so damn judgemental . And when you take your pet to any vet you need to learn how to ask questions and let the dr know what you can afford on that day before any thing is done,I did and they worked within my budget.Take dr butler down off of this pedistal and give the new docks a chance .The people complaining had there minds made up before they even stepped in the door. MY thoughts My opinion more

This is a terrific hospital. The doctors are really attentive to the pets. They kept alive my Skipper, canine, for 6 years while he courageously battled pancreatitis. And the doctors were fabulous at the end when I was a wreck losing Skipper.\r Other vets didn't want to help with Skipper because the end result was a given. But these wonderful people persevered with me and Skipper to the end.\r It's sometimes crowded, always noisy and a wonderful atmosphere. The new vet has all good intentions and provides super care.the place could use a facelift, but who couldn't after over 60 years.\r Give me caring people over efficiency anytime. more
