Noticed this local restaurant off the Route 1 area while visiting an aunt. Took advantage of the breakfast buffet that was filling and delicious with its sausage patties, homefries, eggs benedict, and blueberry pancakes. The waitress stated it was chocolate pancakes, which I don't care for, so I elected to not place it on my plate until my blueberry discovery from further investigation. My companions odered the raspberry & mixed berry crepes with high approval. Another individual was able to order off the menu with an apple crepes (which we all took party in devouring). I capitalized on the buffet and was full til dinner later that evening. The price was right as our tab was about $30 for the four of us when finished. \r
My aunt (who has lived in the area for over 40 years) informed me that it was a local staple and there is a bit of buzz over the new owners. The oversized orange machine in the front of the property was less than inviting and left an unusual presence. Thankfully the interior walls blocked its view and the Maine setting. One of the locals referenced the snowmobile trails running through the property and offering a perfect location to fill up on the stomache along the way. The price was perfect, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was suitable. I plan on returning on our next trip up in the future.
