Driftwood Apartments

Old, moldy,,,expensive for what you get and the staff is mean and uncooperative. Around christmas time of 2007, I put my rent (money order) in the rent box assuming that management will pick it up the next day with no problems, to my surprise, I get a fax at work the next day stating that I needed to pay rent, I remebered that I forgot to put my name on the money order, I only put the apartment number and made it payable to the apartments, it was also around christmas time like I mentioned before (when most people need money badly) ....imeadiately it clicked on my mind that some one from management could have possibly put their name as a purchaser and cashed the money order to their pocket..\r I am convinced that this is exactly what happened. Managment was uncooperative and extremely rude with me as I was explaining my situation to them, they even charged me a late fee of $25, One of the management staff -w/out mentioning names- made it seem like I made up the story or something. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE...FIND ANOTHER ONE FOR YOUR SAKE Pros: non Cons: alot more

I lived in building 16 for a year, and never had a major problem with this complex. The office personnel was nice, and it was always EXTREMELY quiet on the grounds and in the apartment (it had thick walls). The parking was excellent (we always parked right next to our buiding), and the apartment seemed huge. My roommate and I had to call maintenance once, and they responded within 24 hours. The only minor issues we had were that the carpeting seemed crunchy (like it was steam-cleaned and soap was left in it, which is easily solved), and the pool was tiny. Other than that, I was very happy with my stay there. more
