Been There Often, Very Satisfied 8/17/2011

When my former dentist got cross-wise w our insurance plan, I wound up w Dr. Roubik and could not be more pleased. His hygenist, Carol, is excellent. He has always taken time to understand any concerns and the one time I needed some ""drilling"" - it came off very smoothly. more

Horrible dentist 7/2/2009

I had gone to Dr. Roubik's office for my dental work (teeth cleaning and check up) for three years. Each time I would ask about my wisdom teeth. He always would tell me that they were growing in, and that eventually I'd have problems. So when asked whether I should take them out, he'd tell me to wait till I had problems and then give him a call. Thinking that it was no big deal, I never bothered about them. So, since my insurance switched, I went to a different dentist. This dentist was concerned because my wisdom teeth were grown funny (as in compacting my other teeth). She immediately referred me to an oral surgeon. It comes out that I should've gotten my wisdom teeth out years ago, and now, i'd definitely have more risks of complications for waiting. A nerve is lying right by one of my wisdom teeth. The difficulty is much higher now, and so now, I have to pay more out of pocket even with insurance. Pros: Staff was fine and facility was clean. Cons: Dentist doesn't care about patients. more

BEWARE - VERY PAINFUL 3/2/2009

Beware of this dentist! He does not care about the pain of his patients. 3 years ago he put 2 crowns on my molars. At the time, both teeth hurt and I told him that I felt like at least one of them required a root canal. He ignored me. I witnessed him laugh when an assistant informed him of another patients return to the office with pain from previous work done. Then, when he was putting my permanent crowns on, I asked him what I should if I continued to have pain after they were in. His answer: ""take some Mydol"". Not only was that response obscenely offensive and inappropriate, I have, in fact, continued to have pain on those teeth ever seen (cold sensitive, throbbing, etc). Now, years later, the pain has gotten so bad that I am now paying another dentist to correct the work and perform the root canals that were originally needed. Long story short: this dentist does poor work, but far far worse than that, he does not care if his patients are in pain. He is an insensitive massocist. If consideration and pain management are important to you DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. Cons: Terrible patient care and poor dental work. Not to mention sexist! more
