Took my wife twice to her office. Never met or saw her. Both times were with the physician's assistant. First pap test was 385.00. Next year we were told since my wife was already a patient the test would be 225.00. Well, those paps are really expensive. Turned out to be 385.00 again. When we questioned we were told it was standard fee and the information we received was incorrect. Needless to say, we still didn't see Dr. Sonaglia. A few months later we received a phone call and were told it was over a year and half since the last pap and that my wife needed to come in as soon as possible. We reminded the office that my wife just had a pap less than 4 months ago. Oh! Well, the office called a few days later because Dr. Sonaglia was "concerned" about my wife's depression. I reminded the office we never saw the doctor in 2 visits. She promised Dr. Sonaglia would see her if we brought her in. Ok how much? $150 she said. Really. It is the Dr. Sonaglias of this world that make healthcare the problem it is today. Almost 800.00 for 2 pap tests done by a physician assistant. We spent more time in the waiting room then with the assistant. It is nice to see other people actually met and liked her. In fact, we went on the recommendation of a friend. Her office staff was not only incompetent, but rude and dishonest. Unfortunately, that is problem just about everywhere you go today but that still falls on the doctor. Bottom line, it's just not the uninsured like me and my wife that pay but, everyone, for the corrupt system and the corrupt doctors that profit from it.
