I went to the Doves a few days ago for a complementary color consultation and they ended up doing my hair the same day! I love that this salon is team based and everyone works together. There was no normal salon cattiness, no drama, and everyone seemed eager to make me look beautiful. The front desk was easy to deal with and fit me in whenever I needed and I also got an amazing cappuchino while I had my hair done. I will definitely be back here soon!!!!!! I came into the Doves salon with quite a challenging head of hair. I had been doing my own color for a while and it had a range of colors... none that looked good! NICOLE LEAL was my savior! It was quite a process to do my color correction and get my hair the same color root to end. Not only did she make it all one color.. the color was vibrant and amazing. What a difference!! Nicole finished by giving me the perfect hair cut. I appreciate a stylist that let's you know what they think, but at the same time takes the time to listen to what you want! Doves Salon has a wonderful vibe and courteous staff!!! Nicole Leal cuts and colors my hair and it has never looked better!! She is very attentive to your needs, takes good direction, and makes you feel fabulous! I get compliments on my hair all the time, from the random on the street to the professional hair artists for my shoots! Her cut keeps me ""bad hair day"" free and the color is so natural you'd think I was born a blonde!! I have reffered multiple friends and they all are return customers as well!! Nicole Leal has been my hair stylist for the last two years and she is by far the best I've ever had! She is creative and works wonders on my hair. From the moment you step you feel welcomed, the entire staff is friendly and courteous! I try to be good with going to see Nicole every 6-8 weeks and she?s awesome about not making me feel guilty when I miss the 8 week mark = ) She does such an amazing job and I walk out of there feeling fabulous! I love that she listens and makes suggestions without being pushy. For example I felt that my hair was looking dull and she suggested I try a glaze and not a full color. I took her advice and WOW what a change. And it?s not just that I feel great but colleagues from work compliment me on my haircut every single time, Nicole is AWESOME! I am ""30 something"" and literally have been to 5 hairstylist all my life....that is only because my hair is my security blanket so once I trust someone with my hair, well I stick to them ""for years""! I treat my hair well (I am a hair product fiend) and expect the stylists that I see to do the same. I recently discovered the Dove Salon and I am hooked!!! The whole staff, from the reception, to stylists, to the owners are genuinely nice! Not your typical jaded salon. The service is #1 and my ""new girl"" is Nicole! She knows her stuff!! Flying isn?t on my list of favorite things to do but I gladly make the four hundred or so mile trip from SF for the absolutely amazing cuts and color at the Doves salon, or more specifically, for those done by Nicole Leal. There is nothing cookie cutter about the whole process?the color is always artfully and elegantly done to suit your personality and lifestyle (she makes sure it?ll grow out more subtly if you don?t color your hair as often , or gives you options?part it one way and its more vibrant, style your hair a different way and its more toned down), as is the haircut, which is always the perfect balance of what you want (or think will look good on you) and what actually does make you look awesome coming out of the salon and for weeks after. It?s not easy to find a stylist who really knows what he or she is doing, and yes, hair grows, but not fast enough to erase a bad cut or the memory of one? the last five years of consistently great hair is thanks to Nicole. This salon is over-the-top! From the minute you walk in the salon, all the attention is on you. I feel like a celebrity everytime I'm in the salon. What can I say? The Doves is awesome!! From the moment you walk in you are greeted by a warm welcoming staff. The cappuccinos aren't bad either!! The salon is amazing. The Doves is one of those ""spot on"" salons where you walk out looking so impossibly fab and people remark on how amazing you look. Whether you book with Sonya or Christopher Dove or you choose one of their other carefully hand-picked stylists or colorist (and they had thousands of applicants), there are no mistakes at this salon. You can evolve your look from good to cutting edge. Look like a celebrity, friends will love it and even strangers will ask you who did your hair... \r My hair never looked better and I have quirky hair -- fine but super curly... and now it's controlled and fabulous. What a great salon! They squeezed me in last minute for a much needed color job and it looks amazing. Something was just off with my color and they totally gave me this gorgeous, rich new color I love! One thing I really like about this place is the atmosphere- you are encouraged to try different stylists or levels if you like.\r I don't have to feel like I am cheating on my stylist if I need to get in at a certain time ( or my bank account only allows me a certain hair budget for the month). You really do get everyones input and the results show it. \r Since that fateful day, I fell upon Doves, I will never go any place else again!\r Oh, and the cappuccino is excellent! more

Everyone at The Doves -- from the receptionist who greets you at the door, to Christopher and Sonya themselves -- are bright, welcoming, friendly, and involved. The atmosphere is both very hip and comforting at the same time. You can tell this is their passion! Everyone got involved in my color consultation and helped me find the perfect color for me. The way I was treated, and the results I got, made me feel very ""rags-to-riches,"" especially with the challenge that my formerly-DIY bleach jobs presented. They have hand-selected a team of the most talented (and fun) hairdressers, they have created an ambiance that is at once warm and welcoming yet very couture-chic, and they have invented a salon experience that is truly client focused. \r \r And how great is the hair? From a purely technical perspective, these are the people who have trained thousands of hairdressers all around the world, and from an artistic perspective, just watching the looped video of some of their recent stage work is worth the visit.
