Knew their beef and appetizers were top notch, but had forgotten how the pizza was. Great surprise and delight when I opened the box and saw pizza comparable to another local FORMER favorite establishment (starts with a Q). Double D is even better, because the crust holds up to the extravaganza of toppings. Tastes great, too! Potato crusted cod is a 5-star fav. on the menu, also. more

Thin Crust at its best 5/7/2005

Let me start by saying that I am a pizza freak - I can eat pizza on a daily basis. I am currently eating a Double D thin crust cheese/sasuage/pepperoni as I type this review. I moved to Waukegan about seven years ago - and tried a half dozen pizza places prior to finding the Double D. The crust is thin and crispy and the topping plentiful (chunks of sausage). I have always ordered take-out - the the pub has several tables and the people seem friendly. If your in the area give this place a shot - I highly recommend it! Pros: pizza, beer, good price Cons: small area, limited parking more
