Don's No Preference Towing Co

DO NOT RECOMMEND - They were supposed to tow directly to my house per my aarp - they took my vehicle to their tow yard without consent and told me that I may have to pay them. AARP called and said that I was not to be charged and they said they would deliver next day - waited around all day and no delivery - AARP contacted them again and told them to deliver vehicle and said they would have that afternoon - no delivery again - finally my vehicle came that night and I signed the invoice and asked the driver for my copy he said I do not get one - I asked if I could make copy he said no and wanted to know why I was upset as AARP was paying the bill and it cost me nothing - ONLY USE IF YOU WANT MAJOR HEADACHES!!!! more

We needed to have our car towed to the dealership. It was 42 miles away. Roadside Assistance paid for 35 miles. We were told it would cost $3.00 per mile beyond the 35 which should of been $21.00. We were charged $4.00 per mile for 8 miles instead of 7 for a total of $32.00. I spoke with Debbie the dispatcher at Don's towing to question the amount and she immediately snapped at me about her workman's comp insurance. They were getting paid quite handsomely from Ford Roadside Assistance and we feel that the company upped their rates for us the consumer. I would NOTrecommend using this towing company unless you want to be charged rates that are higher than the norm. In fairness to the tow truck driver, Preston. He was very polite and got the car on the truck very quickly. more
