Dr. Donald W. Doucet attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge before setting his sights on LSU New Orleans, where he earned his Medical Degree in 1982. He performed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the former Earl K. Long Medical Center, which he completed in 1985. Dr. Doucet moved to New Roads, LA to start his practice and has lived and worked there ever since. After almost 30 years in private practice, Dr. Doucet joined The Baton Rouge Clinic with his daughter Dr. Ashley Bordelon in the summer of 2015.
Dr. Doucet is licensed to practice in the state of Louisiana and is certified with American Board of Internal Medicine. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, he is also a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society, the Pointe Coupee Parish Medical Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Currently Dr. Doucet serves on the Board of the Pointe Coupee Health Services District as well as on the Guaranty Bank and Trust Company Board.
