Don't visit Dominick's if you're trying to save money, because prices are consistently higher than those at nearby Jewel and Butera. However, if you're taking into consideration your overall shopping experience, Dominick's is the clear winner. With a Chase/BankOne and Starbucks inside, it's hard not to like this supermarket. The produce is fresh, though not cheap. The deli and hot market/ready made lunch counter is the best I've seen. Although they are somewhat limited in their selection of international food, their gourmet cheeses and meats are impressive.
The main drawback, aside from prices, is that they have yet to install self-serve checkouts; lines form quite quickly. Also, watch yourself in the parking lot. I've had quite a number of near-misses; the poorly marked lot is an accident waiting to happen!
