Happy with Dog Stylists 3/21/2012

I decided to try this dog groomer since I saw some positive reviews on another site. We tried Dog Stylists a couple of months ago, and I'm getting ready to make another appointment. They did an excellent job and addressed some coat issues with my Bichon. My dog had never been left at a groomers before and wasn't even a year old at the time and I was nervous. My dog warmed right up to them and was happy and calm. The poodles that Jill has are not overbearing and just greet people and are calm and gentle. I could tell the groomers really knew how to relate to, and have a love of animals and in addition to doing a good job with grooming, they made my dog beautiful and happy. Pros: null Cons: null more

I love Dog Stylists! 10/22/2011

I love Dog Stylists! They love animals... even mine. My dog is happy when I pick him up. The ambience is perfect for animals. Everyone gets attention and all the dogs and cats seem quite content. My dog and I like being greeted by dogs and cats who seem very happy to have us as guests! And of course .... my dog looks great when I pick him up! more

We are honestly perplexed by this review by cindy m. We do not even have a client by that name, unless the disgruntled client is using a pseudonym. If you had a problem with the business, it would have made sense to let us know when we did a reminder call 6 weeks after the supposed incident, but none of us even remember any such incident happening in the first place. Who are you, really? more

We have used Dog Stylists of Durham for years now. She does a great job with the animals however, I have had it with her snobby attitude. She was actually talking rude about our dog when we walked in to pick her up. We will not be back again to Dog Stylists.\r I also had 3 children with me and we heard her say " I won't get any more money out of this Sh*t dog. If they don't like this haircut oh well". \r How rude could you be to your customers? more

Comfy Neighborhood Groomer 1/9/2009

No ambiance at all-2 very large standard poodles greet you-and it's a bit intimidating-however, they are good advertisement and service is good. My dog always comes out looking and smelling good and he is not traumatized. Prices are reasonable, and it's easy to get an appointment, and a convenient location. Pros: I have no concerns about the well being of my dog, and they follow my instructions. Cons: No ambience at all. more

Dog gone great! 7/31/2008

I moved to Durham 7 years ago and have been taking my dog to dog stylist every since. Jill and Alice are patient with my grouchy little man, as well as being wonderful groomers. Jill's generosity is outstanding when it comes to homeless animals. I highly recommend them. more

Great groomer 3/11/2008

I have used Jill before and she does an awesome job with my two pets. I also love the fact that she donates her time to the animal shelter here in Durham to groom dogs so they will be presentable to be adopted. Her prices are reasonable and she asks what you want and tells you what she is going to do with your dog's haircut.I highly recommend this business!! more

The owner helps out at the Animal Shelter! 2/14/2008

I like Jill, the owner of the Dog Stylists, because she clips all the dogs at the Durham County Animal Shelter and doesn't charge them for her time. So I always take my personal rescue dogs there to be clipped! more

Good groomers 11/1/2005

My parents always took their shih-poo to be groomed here. They took good care of Bridget and she always came home looking like a dream. The prices are comparable and even lower than many places. The staff is courteous and they always make sure to know what the owner expects from them before they start to groom the pet. more
