I had the fortune of stopping in to try out Doc's Texas BBQ recently. I must say that I'm highly impressed. It's not a 4-star restaurant by any stretch, but I'll be damned it it isn't one of the best places I've eaten at in sometime. Between the food and the friendly nature of the proprietor, Doc, I'd have to recommend this to anyone heading up 108 into the foothills. If you get the chance stop in and give the tri-tip a try! The food here is really good and not too expensive. Definitely worth trying out. It's right across the street from the Mother Lode Fairgrounds\r more

I'm an Arkansas girl who spent plenty of time in Texas and Doc's is great Texas BBQ!!! I had the smoked brisket plate. It was great! My husband said the hand packed Gutbuster burger was the best he ever ate.\r We are hooked!!! more
