Great salon, great price 3/10/2013

I tried out this salon after getting a last minute groupon for a much needed haircut. The salon is in a pretty non-distinct strip mall, but is fairly nice inside. It has a neighborhood feel and everyone seemed to know each other, which I appreciated a lot. Shannon cut my hair and did a FANTASTIC job. She was able to provide some advice as to what would look best, fall best, etc. and it may have been the best haircut I ever got. The prices are good too, for the quality of cut (even without the Groupon). I will definitely be going back! more

Worth the Drive! 9/27/2011

I would drive four hours to get my hair done by Bonnie...oh ya I do...LOL! It is great when you know someone will do your hair just like you like it... everytime!!! She is always up to date with her education on the latest hair styles and coloring. I would highly recommend her for anyone that enjoys their hair done right!!! more

Most Excellent 8/19/2011

Bonnie is an outstanding stylist. After every cut/color I have received from Bonnie results in myriad people making positive comments on the cut. She is the only person I trust to cut my hair and to make it look fabulous. She is especially creative and has an intuitive sense of what will make you look the best. You will not be disappointed with the service you receive. Anyone that makes unkind comments is not being honest. I would highly recommend that you make an appointment with Bonnie. She's the best! more

Ho Hum results 11/22/2008

I have to agree with Sara's comments....nothing special at all about this salon or its stylists. An older lady cut my hair; a bit uppity and quite frankly I could have had the same results @ Great Cuts. Nothing 'distinctive' about this place at all more

Great cut and color; friendly and professional service 4/12/2007

I've been going to Distinctive Hair since it opened--and the stylist I see was cutting my hair for my long before she opened Distinctive Hair. I've had consistently great cuts and color and the staff members are always friendly, accommodating, and professional. Quite honestly, I haven't ever had a two star experience like the earlier reviewer. Mine have been the five star variety; stylists are up to date, services always good, etc. Consistently good. more

Decent hair cutting, so-so service 8/30/2005

I've only gotten my hair cut there twice, and haven't been wowed with how it looked afterwards. The second time the stylist had mis-scheduled herself and I would have had to wait 30 - 45 minutes (I came back, and I will give her that she rearranged things to accommodate me coming back). My gal is very slow and chatty, and especially slow with the blow-drying. But, it is in walking distance from my house, so I suppose I'll stick with it. more
