Discount Cab

would NOT recommend them. My nephew got stranded with no money, he called me and I told him to call a cab, I would pay upon arrival. The driver threatened him with a pistol when he said he needed to come in the house to get the money. We called Discount to register a complaint and they did NOTHING except recommend that we call the police. We called them several days later about several threatening calls on the answering machine from that same driver, again they refused to do anything. As a matter of fact, that same driver is STILL working for Discount Cab! more

Never Showed Up! Missed my flight!\r I had an emailed confirmation for a 5am pickup but they never Showed up, didn't call or explain. I called when they were 5 minutes late and was informed that there was no one on the way! No explanation, no apologies.\r \r 20 minutes later I received a call that they were heading my way. I had already called a reputable cab company but missed my shuttle to Phoenix (a 10 minute drive) and missed my flight to the East Coast.. Their office is also 10 minutes from my house.\r \r Never, in my wildest dreams, will I ever use these people again! It is inconceivable that a company can be so mismanaged that they will send a written confirmation and then just forget about you.\r \r I assume when there folks go bust, as they deserve, there will be a bunch of green Prius' for sale in Tucson.\r \r I only wish there was a negative rating for companies that cost you money for doing business with them! more

I've used Discount cab on several occasions. Matter a fact just yesterday. I continue calling them because I am a very satisfied customer. I make sure to tip the drivers every time I use the service, because I find them to be very curteous. I highly recomment Discount Cab to anyone needing safe transportation. more

I used 'Discount' to drop a friend at a shuttle stop and then take me to the airport. The driver tried to take the longest, and most expensive route from my house to the shuttle stop. When we arrived at the airport, I gave him my credit card, he ran it, and the screen showed declined. He ran the card twice and both times it showed up on the monitor as declined so I paid in cash. In the airport I called my credit card company, they said there was nothing wrong with the charge, that it was the cab that was declining it. To my chagrin the charge showed up on my credit card. Does Discount Cab care if their employees are defrauding customers? Hmmm... I've called Discount to have them reverse the charges on the credit card.... This experience combined with the experience of the person on Aug 20 2010 is concerning. If you must use 'Discount' cab pay in cash. more

Wow, I can't believed this happened... I got horrible service from a Discount cab driver so I left her no tip when I paid with my credit card. She handed me a reciept, I got out of the car and started to walk to my destination (I say walk, because she dropped me 200 yards away from where I told her to take me). She comes upto me about 150 yards later and says my card was declined and I now have to pay her cash. I didn't have any cash on me and I thought she was trying to hustle me for money because I left her no tip. So, I told her that no way was I going to pay her again when I have a reciept. OMFG, she called the cops on me and had me arrested making up this huge story about how I ran from her, even though the cops arrested me at my original destination!. So now I have an arrest for 'Theft of Services' on my record because I didn't leave her a tip on an 12 tab! more

I have never had to use a cab before, and no one was available to recommend one. I called Discount, and they told me it would be between 5-20 mins. The cab showed up in 5 mins. and drove me 5 major blocks to pick up my car from the repair shop. The ride was clean, driver very nice and helpful (I am disabled), and cost me about $2/block and $2 for the pickup. It seems like a lot, but what with the cost of maintenance, insurance and payroll, it's not bad. As it turns out, this is the only co. my son will use. Don't be afraid to call them. more

We used this company to go from Tucson Airport to Green Valley. The service was good but the price was high. Our neighbor told us about a few private driving services in Green Valley...one was Jerry's service and the other was GV transportation by Susan. Jerry was actually Kathy and the were decent.
