Dirt Works Excavating

I completely agree with Fedup 72, I hired alan vaughan with dirtworks to do some work for me, he was referred to me by Brad with preferred plumbing, he would start then leave saying his equipment broke or he had other jobs to do, this went on for several months, he then said he needed to be paid in full in order to finish the job which, by this time the price had tripled from the original agreed upon price, after I paid him in full he would not return, he would say he had other jobs to do that he was getting paid for, maybe the city of Lawson. When he finally agreed to finish the job he wanted more money because he claimed he had already went above and beyond and he also wanted me to write a good review for him on the internet, needless to say he never returned, he left my property in a mess, he had tore out my sidewalk which is now a muddy mess, he never fixed the problem he was hired to do, I cannot afford to have his mess fixed or my original problem fixed until I pay off the loan I had to get to pay him. Dirt Works has completed several projects for the City of Lawson, MO. Mr. Vaughan always was very professional, completed projects in a timely manner, and went above and beyond what was expected or called for on our projects. more

I have to completely disagree with FedUp72. We had Dirt Works come and do some work for us this Spring and he did a great job. He is a very nice guy. Maybe he's gained some experience over the past year and is doing better, but we were happy with his work. more

This ""contractor"" is not a competent individual. When we hired him a price was negotiated and by the end of the job the price had doubled. When he started our job he would work on our job and leave or just not show up at all because he was starting other jobs. His workmanship is extremely poor. When the work fails and you call him to come back he states that he will put you on the books to return and correct the problem he won't. Then he will dodge your calls. We ended up having to hire another contractor to come and fix his ""work"". Beware! If you hire this individual it will cost you three times the amount to fix the problem! more
