We visited here with our three kids (ages 4,6, and 8) after visiting Mammoth Cave. I found it kitschy but very fun. It features over 100 life-size dinosaurs in a wooded setting. The dino visible from the road is painted orange and black striped, ala Tony the Tiger, which tipped me off on the kitsch factor. Once we entered though, my kids and I enjoyed it. The dino trail offered signs with info on the various dinosaurs, and there was a small movie theater, a fossil dig for kids (they get to keep 3 small fossils each), a small dino museum, and a play area (great for tired kids). There is a gift shop and make sure you get a coupon for a free gift for your kids (available on their website or in a packet we got at our hotel) - it's a neat gift: a pretty large plastic dinosaur!
I recommend this as a stop for anyone in the area with young kids.
